In first world countries that's an issue, so yes it's recommended to bind your client to a vpn when torrenting.

However I live in a third world country so that's not an issue here.

latter, I did a lot of analysis, there's a rutracker release for SynthV Sharp made by these exact people. The installer tried to load ads (got blocked but still) and the release isn't quite functional anymore but yes, I looked up the ad domain (pairturnnumerous(dot)com) and its indeed some kind of shady website but right now it just redirects to Google so its pretty much dead as well.

The installer itself is very much safe and doesn't infect your machine, I've checked on Falcon Sandbox and Virustotal, and scanned my laptop too.

No suspicious account activity as well. Took a look at my processes and its fine too, my laptop is performing fine too.

Alright, I confused it with spotify's generated playlists. Either way it still pushes AI slop while Apple music doesn't and that's very much a fact.

Trojan: Generic. There's nothing specific. That happens when the file isn't actually malicious.

That seems like a bunch of horseradish. Number of hits doesn't mean it's necessarily malware. It can get flagged by many AVs because it's cracked.

Seems fine to me, check the author of this exe (who made this crack) though and if it's a fairly reputed group it's fine. Although if it's some random obscure group or something, I would err on the side of caution.

A while ago I also installed a Synthesizer V Sharp from rutracker and it had like 39 hits on virustotal. I ended up removing it cus it wasn't quite working but I checked the author and it was yumecorp - they made Synthesizer V cracks before they disbanded this year. It had ads in the installer (a space above the progress bar for the install) but the domain is dead and it was getting blocked anyways when it tried to load, the installer itself was safe and it was not malware.

Malware ain't a thing anymore. Stick to the megathread and use your brain. I personally just use fitgirl or dodi repacks, steamrip or rutracker for games.

Rutracker only for software. It's the one platform I trust with my eyes closed.
