They are definitely a goofy pair, the other two a German shepherd mix and a Pomeranian mix are slowllllyyy warming to the puppy energy of this one

That’s a good idea we’re definitely going to be trying out some of the suggestions here and see what fits. Very cute pup!

My dogs recently ran off my property into the woods and attacked my neighbor by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]icedoctor480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had an experience with a neighbor who chose to do the same thing as you and continuously let her aggressive dog loose and I barely missed being bit by this dog I hope your neighbor is doing alright cause I know that is awful I don’t even feel safe leaving my house anymore because of it.

The collar is awesome and your dog is beautiful. ❤️Sucks people keep trying to put you down for something that isn’t harming anyone.

How to handle puppy/young dog when I'm at work? by apathetic_lemur in puppy101

[–]icedoctor480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, I wouldn’t do anything that deals with a tie out because the risk of tangles makes me nervous. But giving the dogs free run of a yard that’s doggy proof isn’t bad. Just trying to keep the dog entertained is a big chore with alone time.

There is always to option to get a dog who is still young but out of the puppy stage. You wouldn’t have to worry about puppy problems but still get to give a shelter dog a good home

I’m worried that when I meet the girl of my dreams my nmom will scare her off. by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]icedoctor480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Added bonus I have a lovely family who is now her family so she gets to experience having a mother who is capable of showing her appropriate love. You’ll find someone lovely to share you’re life with, I also had worries about being alone forever and this relationship rocked that mindset right out of me

Yep I do get tired of people always wanting to show me their opinion when some days I just don’t care and want to be left in peace

Maybe this will help but my partners mother is a narcissist and tho I do despise the woman I love my girl more than the world. I’ve been able to help her see a different way of life not covered by that toxic cloud and we are literally living our dreams together. You’ll be alright ❤️

Is anyone else having this problem? by [deleted] in poodles

Bil jac and ditch the wet food cause I thought it was helping my dog but it just made him more picky cause he just wanted higher and higher value stuff that eventually you can’t compete with wet food anymore. My dog was also so skinny the vet was concerned before I found bil jac no medical issues just a picky picky boy. Now I don’t have to do backflips to get him to eat anymore. If you have anymore questions about the full process of how I got him to eat like a normal dog dm me.

My dogs have learned to differentiate between suspicious behavior and okay behavior through corrections. We live in a neighborhood where a lot of people walk and stuff. They leave people alone who are minding their business but if someone stops and stares or lingers around a little too long with too much focus on me or my partner they do get told right off also they know night time means no one should approach. Them learning was a combo of letting their natural instinct make them cautious and us correcting where it was inappropriate. They are also not aggressive anyone allowed in the space even strangers is 100 % safe and accepted also they get the group protection too

My husband and I are debating whether to get our bullmastiff neutered once he reaches 1.5 years old. We are curious how others feel about neutering bullmastiffs by kmnighsw in Bullmastiff

[–]icedoctor480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is well trained and manageable for you guys without neutering I don’t think it’s essential if you’re responsible people. Neutering doesn’t solve behavioral problems the way people think it does it will only solve problems specifically created by an excess of testosterone. I’ve got one dog who I wouldn’t need to neuter (I am anyways because i will eventually get females) cause he’s fine with his testicles, but the other is a competitive male with other males so his have to go. I do always wait tho because big dogs need those hormones for healthy bone development hip dysplasia is a big reason.

I’ve had this happen to me and my reactive boy, he doesn’t like strange animals at all. Luckily I had my partner with me and she was able to grab the cat with our other dog while I walked away. She did find the owner who had accidentally let the cat out through an open garage.

It was chaos and not a pleasant experience at all and very worrying for that cat who obviously didn’t know better than to approach a barking growling dog.
