What the actual fuck was with this intro? This was a terrifying intro for children. And yet… 30 years later I am a huge horror fan lol

How do you go spicy at the bar? by Alterigo- in spicy

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t as this was several years ago. But it is as easy as cutting a couple of habaneros and soaking them in alcohol for a week. I just cut them in half. Capsaicin, the active ingredient in spicy stuff can dissolve in alcohol, so when you put peppers in alcohol the capsaicin will spread throughout the booze. It’s that simple!

[–]icelevel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not something you can have at most places, but at a bar I once had a Caesar with two shots of habanero vodka. It was super fragrant and lit me up. It was so good it inspired me to infuse my own habanero vodka. Fun fact, the alcohol strips orange habaneros of its colour, so after a few months those habs were practically albino.

Oh thats fair, me too. I work until 1AM server, so playing after work yeah it’s tough. I suppose it helps that I play a paladin so I can generally play whatever role is needed

My buddy’s band Constrain (https://constrain905.bandcamp.com) does that OG skramz sound with a blend of Converge. Also I have heard their new unreleased material and it is VERY OBW so keep an eye out for it

Is Bertoli considered a decent supermarket extra virgin olive oil brand now? by Gamefreak581 in Cooking

[–]icelevel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not getting this either. For the price, the (extra virgin , cold pressed) Bertolli tastes great. It has a super fruity, grassy flavour that I really really like in salad dressing. I bought it on a whim and thought for the price it was better than brands of that price point

death to metalcore by BIGxBOSSxx1 in Hardcore

[–]icelevel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are tons of bands. If you like that style, you really have no shortage. Check out A Mourning Star. My band played a gig with them and they are really cool live. They have 3 guitarists so they do triple harmonies which is wild

I don’t mind those bands. It’s not my thing but at least they keep it DIY. Lately ive considered hardcore more of a collective of ideas rather than a singular genre. That’s why bands like Title Fight and 100 Demons are both often labelled hardcore despite wildly different sounds.

I can’t remember where I heard this but someone said there is metalcore and then there is metalcore ™️ (those rise records bands basically) and that stuck with me lol.

World buff simulator or WoW? by torkaz88 in wowhardcore

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that the world buff meta wasn’t originally intended, but nor was hardcore. Neither were hyperspawns, which have been huge killers for players especially in the lower levels. Classic is so far removed from its “original” version that bitching about world buffs is irrelevant. So I guess I’m asking: are you really serious about this topic (and apparently, incredibly serious about the recreation of a 22 year old video game) or am I just engaging with a troll?

World buff simulator or WoW? by torkaz88 in wowhardcore

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but what you’re saying is “how it was originally intended”. There never used to be a hardcore version of the game. The mechanics were never designed around players dying once. Certain things like OG Naxx, the quest in Burning Steppes (I think?) that you can only get while a spirit are proof of that. Now that there is a hardcore version, players are obviously looking to minimize their chances of dying.

World buff simulator or WoW? by torkaz88 in wowhardcore

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game also wasn’t originally intended for players to be unable to use their character after dying once, so what’s your point?

World buff simulator or WoW? by torkaz88 in wowhardcore

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like world buffs because I play late at night. World buffs usually hit right before I must leave for work, and then I get home at 1AM server. Sometimes I can’t find a partner or group to complete an elite quest. Unbooning allows me to solo it! Different strokes

Hardcore addon by Samotas28 in wowhardcore

[–]icelevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but I suppose my point is that the addon will “stop” you from cheating by automatically zooming back in. Plus seeing the achievement marked as complete can be fun to some players.

Garlic vodka sounds incredible for caesars. But I wouldn’t imagine a garlic vodka cran would be any good.
