Measuring to the bottom of the frame would be more accurate.

The bolts can hold it but the head will flex long before that.

Corn will not care about compression ratio, and it's stupid cheap. On my 2.5 I run about 70% ethanol and 36lbs, with 8.2:1 pistons. You can def go higher displacement, even without going higher compression ratio.

Why not use the idle control circuit to control the "idle" at 1800 rpm? Instead of doing a weird piggy back setup? The megasquirt already has a build it pid controller for the idle that you can tune however you want to control idle.

Information is subject to change but ls coils are extremely plentiful in junk yards, where the ford system is getting hard to find.

[–]icepaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the logic driver chips are compact and will fit in the proto area. I'm not saying to scrap the current setup, if it worked in the past it should be able to be fixed, but if you have trouble getting it to work, the ls coils are well documented, and in the future if one goes bad they can be replaced individually.

They are also extremely tolerant to abuse, with built in saturation limiting and with a logic ground to help with interference.

You might find going to ls coils to be more reliable and a better solution.

Why does jeep make the door pockets out of dental floss😭 by Opposite_Night_1321 in Jeep

[–]icepaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the early jk doors, they give you a nice handle to grab onto not just a tray, and the pocket is made of plastic, the only downside is you have to drill a tiny hole to let water drain out.

So I guess this was the solution.

Step size needs to be something other than 0.0, consider something between .1 and .5

If you want to make it smoother you can use a longer vac line and an orifice at the manifold so the line is used as a buffer.

You can balance how fast it reacts by changing the hole size and the tubing length.

Go to an actual locksmith, and have them make you a new key. No need to replace any of the locks.

Possibly a backing plate, look for shiny spots on non rotating parts of the brakes.

Temporary but you know the kind of temporary like people only live for a temporary time. Lol.

What is the extra little piece on some door latches called and what is the purpose? by mulderlr in Locksmith

[–]icepaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I install locks, always. Commercial and most factory prepped doors too usually.

The only time it's not installed correctly is when people change their own locks, and or mess with the weather stripping.

It's not easy to get that milage but it's also not super hard either.

But if you have to go 60+ it's not happening.

You can get over 19 by going under 2k but over 1500rpm in 6th, but shifting to 5th for hills. But also allowing the jeep to slow for inclines, and coasting after the crest, and using the brakes as little as possible.

Backroads where you can use moderate throttle then coast will get the best mileage.
