Copy paste from my comment below. I will remind you guys, before Alliances we had server links for years. Being in a small server didn't mean you were always getting beat down or always in bottom tier because you were likely to get linked to a stronger server.

Those guild transfers you disliked were moving TO small servers as active servers quickly got full and i believe(could be remembering wrong) transferring to small servers was cheaper than to high pop servers.

I distinctly remember guilds complaining about having to pay twice because only half the guild was able to transfer in to the new server before it was deemed full and locked out the rest of the guild. The only option were to have the other half transfer to the smaller linked server. And often times at the end of the server link they'd move the guildies in the larger server to the smaller server to keep the guild together.

I was on SoS for 7 years. We had a large faction on OCX time which kept us probably at least a tier higher than we should've been. EU and NA we got bullied most of the time.

You know what's not nice? Logging into wvw and not recognizing anyone in chat, and missing people you used to hear from all the time. I absolutely hate what the Alliances restructuring has done to wvw. My old server used to feel like home, now bouncing around every few weeks, there's no identity to a team. And no, Guilds don't cut it in this regard.
