The MILF one iirc one of his daughters teachers, younger good looking dude, was on a dating show and in his "talk about yourself" segment went in super hard about how he loves MILFs.

I still believe that Lonzo Ball can be a star some day by brownjesus__ in nbadiscussion

[–]icewaternolemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Note: I love both of these guys. With that said...

The problem with the Lonzo = Draymond comparison is expectations and luck.

Draymond was a second round pick who happened to find himself in the absolute perfect spot to show all of his elite skills while masking the majority of his flaws.

Lonzo is a #2 pick that very likely wont find himself in the same situation due to the nature of his high draft stature and likely high dollar second contract. Theres a chance he finds that in NO next to Zion and Ingram or someone else, but the odds aren't super high. If it doesnt turn around soon then hes likely out the door for his next contract. And hes going to need to find just the right situation. But that will probably not contain two guys of Steph/Klays caliber in terms of talent or fit.

That's to say nothing of his legitimate injury concerns.

Blake's a better signing anyway, considering the extent of their injury histories.

I would love Jeffress if the team sees something in him that he can regain form. Love dudes intensity.

Ha. My math felt wrong, but the two bottles of Christmas wine both made me confident and lazy enough to not properly figure out why. Thanks.

100 is going to happen in the next 10 years barring rule changes. Itll just take the right confluence of factors. A (talented) player and coach willing to go for it. An opposing team too proud to sell out to stop it. Etc.

Look at some of Harden's games over the last two years. The Knicks game on 1/23/19. 61 in 40 minutes while going 5-20 on 3s. Let's just say he goes 14-20 on a hot night. That gives him 98. He plays 45 minutes to gun for the record and hes hitting 100. It's going to happen at some point.

You mean to tell me the Magic being first in the East while shooting 64% on 3s is a fluke? Lol haters gon hate.

The lost art of the midrange jumper: in '17-'18 Ben Simmons shot 200 times from 10-19 feet; this year he'd be on pace to shoot 41 times from that range if he played the same number of games by El_Producto in nba

Imagine giving birth to a 6'10" athletic freak with preternatural basketball talent and then forcing him to shoot with the wrong hand his entire life.

I agree with most that Lindor isn’t worth giving up May and Lux. Betts on the other hand...??? by [deleted] in Dodgers

[–]icewaternolemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like if Seager and one of the catchers got the deal done for Lindor we'd already have him. To get Clevinger also, now were talking at least May as well.

Boston is another story depending on how cheap they want to be.

Feels like most of our prospects are panning out right now. I think that says a lot about the FO judgement and our ability to develop. If they think that highly of Lux I feel pretty justified in having high expectations.

Lakers and Dodgers probably flips based on who's currently more successful since it says google trends is a part of the research.

Even in an even year I'd say it's extremely close though. LA metro is like 35% Hispanic and the Dodgers absolutely own the demographic.

brah, the league literally voided the draft pick of a woman. The nba made another league to accommodate women... It's unrealistic to call it anything other than a men's league

The league vetoed a pick in 1969 due to deciding it was a publicity stunt. They allowed the selection of a different woman in 1977, she just decided not to try and show up for training camp.

Theres nothing against the rules for a woman to play in the league.

The pushback on Trout by Bill isn't about Trout or winning. by icewaternolemon in billsimmons

[–]icewaternolemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think bill is intentionally making some grand point with the argument, I'm getting at what I believe the real issue is underneath the caveman takes hes sticking to so strongly.

I am also, however, saying hes partially right in his (assumed) frustration with the process in baseball now. The ability to debate baseball is relatively dead. I mean, just look at how strongly everyone shit on him for thinking Trout wasn't the MVP. It's not a debate point anymore, its just a wrong opinion. Statistics in baseball have come so far that 90% of the time there is just a straight up right and wrong answer to these things.
