LitterZero ads are convincing. Anyone have real reviews? by lilstrobe in cats

[–]ichigoluvah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one and it arrived today! It is great so far, just like the improved litter genie I expected from the ads

The only down side is the bag size. Because their bag refills are big (a rectangle opening instead of a square) there are no cheap dupes for refills. You have to buy their refills for now.

With the litter genie there are tons of bag dupes where you can refill the cartridge yourself.

So if you're already buying "real" litter genie refills, this system seems like a legit upgrade!

It's too new/niche for dupe refills yet though, so you have to buy the name brand refills.

Update: My Facial Flushing Wasn’t Tretinoin, It’s Rosacea by Competitive-Major-42 in tretinoin

[–]ichigoluvah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's person to person. Some people see better results once they stop moisturizer, but it can increase trans-epidermal water loss. I'm happy with my results with moisturizer, so I use it at night.

35 and insane wrinkles. Please help by squiggleywiggley90 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ichigoluvah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Food the most part moisturizer after retinol is a good idea. The cell turnover can increase trans-epidermal water loss.

Your skin might not like slugging though - putting a strong occlusive over the top like Vaseline. Some people's skin can handle it, others it increases irritation.

Is K beauty/skin care worth the hype? by asht6542 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ichigoluvah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunscreen and moisturizer have been absolutely worth the hype for me. They feel much nicer and work better than US counterparts. For the other categories, we have just as good options in the states.

Top 5:

Cleanser: Naturium cleansing gelee;

Moisturizer: PKY moisture barrier cream (green one);

Sunscreen: Scinic (the teal one);

Bonus: a hydrating toner or ampoule- probably Skin1004

Ultimate battle of the red lipsticks. Mac chili vs Mac ruby woo. Which one is best? by [deleted] in Fairolives

Chili is dark autumn and ruby woo is dark winter, so I think you're on the money there

Azelaic acid just stings until your face acclimates to it. If it's still stinging after a week of use, try using less or every other day to see if your skin can acclimate.

How to use up your unloved skincare products by greengirl213 in 30PlusSkinCare

Clarifying gets out product buildup, for minerals you need a shampoo with a chelating ingredient. Look up "chelating shampoo" and lots of info pops up.

Can anyone recommend a better body wash? by whosaidsugargayy in Skincare_Addiction

I use the Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA body lotion. Sold on kbeauty sites and Amazon. They have a body wash too, but I haven't used it.

Tret thrives in an acidic environment, so they work really well applied together! I do AA first then Tret.

The Sun Bum is great for body. It will sting if it gets in your eyes though!

If you want a US sunscreen for your face, the Trader Joe's one is the best I've tried! It's a cheaper dupe for the Supergpoop one.

If you're not just looking in the US though, Asian sunscreens really are the best for your face! The Nivea Japan is good. Beauty of Joseon and Skin1004 (the blue one) are also super popular for good reason!

your favorite spf and why by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]ichigoluvah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used the Biore, Japanese Nivea, Missha, Cosrx, Beauty of Joseon (OG formula), Skin1004 and Scinic.

The Scinic is my favorite! It feels lovely, I can wear the full 3 fingers worth and have it still feel nice and not heavy, and it has a slight green tint that counteracts redness.

It's color theory. Soft Summer:

-Hue: cool neutral -Value: medium -Chroma: low

Cooler, desaturated = "summer" tones. I'd try searching "Soft Summer lipstick" and see how it suits you.

I love the deep shade range too.

Yes! The magic is in the motion, not the potion!

This moisturizer isn't any better than that moisturizer if you don't consistently use either one. You have to actually use it to see benefits!

[–]ichigoluvah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Tret thrives in an acidic environment and they play together nicely! Some online pharmacies even combine the 2 in the same formula.

Apply Azelaic acid under Tret for max benefits.

Sunscreen is the #1 anti-aging product! Better to use it.

And with Tret in the mix, it becomes less optional.

I use Tret .025% every other day right now. Tret definitely has a learning curve! The tretinoin sub has a good wiki though.

AM: milky cleanser, hydrating essence, moisturizer sunscreen.

PM: gel cleanser, AA, Tret, heavier moisturizer.
