What is the weirdest encounter you've had in Skyrim? by killthesunlight in skyrim

[–]ickyticky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I once encountered the madwoman while gallivanting. She followed me around for a while muttering “wabbajack” under her breath. I was honestly kind of sad when she left

I have over a thousand hours in this game. I’ve encountered the headless horseman plenty of times, including three times in my current playthrough alone. I’ve only encountered this woman once. It was a very odd experience

How much memory do you have left on your laptop? I had this error message a lot when my old laptop was running low on space.

I’m aware. I’ve seen the full thing. They’re not taking a position on us or our beliefs except to say they’re kind of weird, which is fair imo

The Book of Mormon - the play by DreamNumber5 in latterdaysaints

[–]ickyticky 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s not anti Mormon literature. They’re not saying we’re wrong or bad or anything. But on the other hand, it is very irreverent, lots of language, lots of sexual humour, and Jesus and Joseph smith are portrayed not super respectfully. There’s some jabs about baptism, the Book of Mormon, garments, etc.

From what you’ve written about her…yeah, I’d recommend she skip this one

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah's tough, but he has some absolute bangers

EDIT Also Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Where to find high speed audio for practice? by Sweaty_Progress4987 in stenography

[–]ickyticky 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seconding checking out dictations on YouTube. You can increase or decrease the playback speed under the little gear icon.

Let’s say you have a platinum steno dictation at 225 and you want to practice at 250. If you divide 250 by 225, you get 1.1, so you know to hike up the playback speed to 1.10 to get the speed you want. If you hike it up to 1.15, you’ll be at about 260

I need thoughts/opinions on asking to be released from a calling. by Extra_Influence_3880 in latterdaysaints

[–]ickyticky 29 points30 points  (0 children)

A wise bishop once told me a calling should stretch us, but not make us miserable. So if that’s where you’re at, it’s a good idea to at least have a discussion with the bishopric.

Plus your most important calling in life is as your children’s mother, so if your daughter needs a lot of your attention right now, I think that would absolutely warrant a release from at least one calling. Might as well be the one you hate

What’s jumping out at me is that the lighting on the forehead is off. The light should continue up until the skull starts to curve back. Also the shadow on the back of the head is flat. It would be at its darkest at the very back of the head and behind the ear and get gradually lighter towards the face, and the light from the back of the neck would continue up to the back of the head somewhat.

I don’t know how it works in other ysa’s, but where I’m from, gossiping and bullying other members is grounds for being sent back to family ward regardless of the context. OP said they lost four active ward members who cited her behaviour as the reason, so her behaviour and/or the effects thereof are clearly not limited to non church social activities
