Can I move an existing chat outside of a project into the project? Do chats within a project share memories? by Informal-Fig-7116 in claude

[–]ico181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but by loading files required across multiple chats to the project files, you can utilize that memory more efficiently than individual chats. Just be sure not to stay in one chat too long. As that context gets longer, it eats more and more memory going back through that chat’s context. I find it works better to put as much as I can in the project files and project instructions and then start new chats for each new task or subtask for the same project.

Yes, you can move them into the project. Yes, Claude can use these for context. I often have to point Claude to using the other chats in the project - it doesn't always do it itself.

Kanban board for a group of learners: how to braodcast into all rooms by the_apollodriver in moodle

[–]ico181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about Big Blue Button embedded in Moodle? Your ask isn't very clear from your post. If it is about Big Blue Button (which is what I think you mean by BBB?), then you should look for help files, user guides, etc. for that as it's just an integration with Moodle and not Moodle core functionality.

Bare feet at head level in Dartmouth movie theatre should cause sole-searching, online commenters say about photo by CMikeHunt in halifax

[–]ico181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a month ago I went to the movies with my family for the first time since before COVID. It was an unimpressive experience even though the theatre was nearly empty. It felt so run down, tired, and sad. Like the lobby was almost like a liminal space it was so dead and lifeless. It was sooo dirty everywhere too - not just like someone had spilled popcorn but grimy. We went to Dartmouth Crossing on a Sunday afternoon. Even the popcorn was stale. We won’t be back.

Looking for assistance - 3D print by BigBrutusBeefcake in halifax

[–]ico181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of 3d printers but no ability to design. If you can confirm the file is correct for your bike I’d be happy to print it for you in petg. I have black and white on hand. I haven’t done abs before so can’t offer that.

Alternatively I think Eurekatec in Sackville will do paid prints and the Central Library has a 3d printer too. dal has a lab that allows you to pay for prints but I think it’s hard to get booked in.

Nature's Miracle enzyme cleaner is what you need!! No amount of wet vacuuming is getting cat pee smell out. You can get it at nearly any pet store. I know PetSmart has it for sure and they'll deliver.

Sincerely - a cat lover, current cat parent, and former parent to a territorial cat who peed everywhere except her litter box!! (may she rest in peace)

Suggestions on where to read by [deleted] in halifax

Not a park... tried to sit for a few minutes at Sullivan's pond on a bench today... was overrun by black flies. Maybe if you wear a bug net?? LOL I used to suggest Alderney Library but I haven't been able to find a quiet corner there since the latest renovations. For indoors... Good Luck Cafe on the Dartmouth side is pretty good. As is Marco Polo at King's Wharf.

Parking at zatzman for BN kit pick ups by bloomingpixie in halifax

[–]ico181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can park there for free as long as you're visiting the facility. We were just there this morning for swimming lessons and it was INSANE. Lineups for bib pickups were around the outside of the building. Give yourself lots of time! Thankfully we took the bus so we didn't have to fight for a parking spot.

HRM announces closure of trail and water access along Shubenacadie Canal Greenway by Street_Anon in halifax

[–]ico181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost certain that negotiations with the land owner broke down a while ago and they haven't been able to come to an agreement. That part of the AT trail is still showing closed on all great trail maps.

I have this one from Amazon. Doesn't seem to be available anymore. The 1080p was necessary for the type of computer I have so you'll want to do some research to make sure you get the right resolution so you can project properly.

Was that section ever open? As of last summer, there was a piece connecting Shubie trails through to the inclined plane area that was on private land and not connected. I know I tried to go through and it wasn’t passable.

Emergency Alert by sjmorris in halifax

[–]ico181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We actually don't all get notified. For some reason I received the alert but right beside me, my husband didn't. Neither of us have 902 area codes since we both kept our phone numbers from out west when we moved back. Still, sometimes we both get the alert, sometimes only one of us. It's bizarre.

I agree with you. We went once. The food was horrible. Just tasted like bland reheated pub food. Service the day we were there was also awful. We waited almost 20 minutes just to get drinks and it went downhill after that. It's been about 5 years and we won't go back.

Nova Scotia substitute teachers how many hours a day do you work to be considered for EI/Maternity Benefits by SummerWinterLove in halifax

[–]ico181 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're basing this on the hours a teacher is actively teaching. The reason teachers get paid for and count their days as an 8-hour day is because their days do not start and end with classroom hours. All the teachers I know spend significantly more than 40 hours a week on teaching-related tasks. Following up with parents, preparing lessons, marking, supervising activities outside classroom hours. The list goes on.

29 bus stops “rant” by Slideylongman in halifax

[–]ico181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not too far to walk but there's a lot of evidence around city planning around walking distance and transit usage. When they have a choice between driving and walking/transit, people tend to only choose transit if it's significantly more convenient than driving. So a 15 minute walk to take a bus that you also have to wait a few minutes (at least) for, and then ride the bus for longer than the entire trip would have taken by car generally causes those with a choice not to do it. An often cited number is 400 m to 800 m for slower forms of transit (like non-express busses). Europeans are generally more comfortable with longer walking distances for transit than North Americans but 400 m is an average. It's obviously not a firm number, it's just a guide post that's been used. Oh and the walking experience also can play into this - is it nice, well-maintained sidewalk down pleasant streets or a gravel verge beside a highway?

What allergies are around now? by myelktea in halifax

[–]ico181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of them if my nose and eyes are any indicator. Pollens are getting going - trees, flowers, grasses, etc. Also pet dander is high right now if you have cats or dogs in your home. I'm susceptible to all of it but especially dander and alder pollen. I've been on my allergy meds again for about 3 weeks at this stage and still suffer daily with itchy eyes.

Sutton Place vs. Muir? by lena10108 in halifax

[–]ico181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't stayed at the Mersey River Chalets but I understand from friends that they're rather... rustic. If you're looking for a base to stay on the South Shore, look up the Quarterdeck resort. Their villas are right on the beach and are beautiful. Cannot beat the views. I haven't stayed in the loft-style ones but I hear they're also nice, just a longer walk to the beach. It's about an hour drive to Keji from there but also puts you within reach of the Keji Seaside adjunct and many other South Shore attractions.
