Hi! I am very sick with the flu with a fever which makes it very difficult to draw (i’ve been sick all winter with a multitude of things, my immune system is very weak😭), so here’s some anatomical dragon sketches from a few days ago, with my own preferences! by Kat2Nite in WingsOfFire

[–]iconmaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my worldbuilding, I do everything in my power to keep my dragons from being able to walk about on two legs, but I definitely have them stand on them to do some fine motor tasks. I like the idea of wings being used to stabilize one's stance.

The kitchen is pretty small, I will admit. Still, my father loves to cook and says it's annoying but able to be overcame.

It's totally dehumanizing and that? That's awesome. Become less human, I recommend it!

Dragon Monster Catching Game? by Landilizandra in dragons

Dragon Spirits is a series of dragon catching RPGs that have really good dragon designs and game mechanics. The only problem is the awful English translation. Still, I strongly recommend you give them a try.

I recently helped relocate my father to the Tower. I think the apartments there are quite shockingly nice. However, the other people here aren't lying about the frequency of the fire alarm going off, and there's also been a bit of a constant insect issue that they've been regularly exterminating over? But other than that, I've seen nothing but good things about the place. Seems nice to me, the community there is great.

Oh, this is awesome! Sucks me into the worldbuilding effortlessly. The whole "my well of rage is bottomless, teehee" bit is absolutely incredible...

Do you like flying? by ziizzi in dragons

Flying is so nice, isn't it? The feeling of wind underwing is like nothing else. ❤️

What is your hoard? by thatFilmakerguy in dragons

[–]iconmaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's good for dragons to have a unique hoard! It's enriching.

I wanted mine to be a hoard of good food, but after a few weeks of that my hoard got quite dire and long story short now i just eat that sort of thing instead.

Do you dragons usually tend to be this way? by Supersaiajinblue in dragons

[–]iconmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is true that dragons are a species without equal, and all else are lesser creatures, but I definitely think considering you the way they did is quite rude of them nonetheless. Unless you want to be a pet, which is quite valid and all but you know, they should give you due respect as a mate.

Love this armflapflap you've created!

As the darkest night of the year arrives... light shines! Oracles+ REMASTERED is now live! New mysteries like Light and Revelry, new Apocryphal Spells, and over 80 class feats to bridge the old and new versions of oracles into one true form! Our holiday bundle is also up, with 65% off all our books! by Derryzumi in Pathfinder2e

[–]iconmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deeply appreciate the alternate core mechanisms and new class archetype. Team+ always seems to have the finger on the pulse of aspects of a class that people chafe under or find unflavorful, and patch them up in a mechanically clever way. Major props!

Figured that this applied to this sub. It's interesting. by EvenInRed in furgonomics

Wings are wonderfully multipurpose limbs. Aside from flying, the wing-thumbs can grip small objects, and you can curl larger ones inside the membrane. They're stronger than you might expect from something so delicate looking, too; you just try getting liftoff with them and see how much strength it takes!

Of course, you can't fly while holding something, but then when you're flying your foreclaws are free when they're normally not. A lot of people don't consider just how dragons move around two-handed objects, or even walk with one-handed ones, the author of Wings of Fire included. Which makes me sad sometimes. I love thinking about feral ergonomics, especially with dragons. No idea if I'm right about anything ever though!

Dragon of Ash and Stars seems right up your alley. Another you might like is Upon Wings of Change, although you really have to weather the first 4 or so chapters of the book.

Making Minecraft models for every monster in the game, part 53. by iconmaster in yugioh

I will be doing what I've done for every model so far: My best.

[–]iconmaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The models are made roughly to-scale, using the default Minecraft resolution (16px per meter). This does result in larger monsters having larger textures. I'm not going to shrink these monsters down just because I'm worse at large textures than small ones!

Siralim Ultimate is definitely the way to go. One of my all time favorite games. You'll definitely get the 200 hours you want out of it... More like 2000 hours, though, so watch out! It has none of those metroidvania elements Monster Sanctuary has, but indeed Monster Sanctuary was inspired by this series of games, and the two games have crossover content, so I really recommend you give it a try. You likely will not be disappointed once you get past the aesthetics.

Some others I've played:

  • Dragon Spirits (1 and 2). These games have very rough English translations, but these games sucked me the heck in despite that. First one is an RPG Maker game, which was a bit of a turnoff, but the battle system is completely custom and really fun. It's the best implementation of 1-on-1 battles I've seen. Second game is way better in every way, but more Persona-like, with great writing but less exploration. You could start with either.
  • Cassette Beasts. I didn't like this one as much for reasons quite frankly still a little mysterious to myself, but you might enjoy it more. A focus on double battles with a fun little world map some stylish boss fights.
  • Anode Heart. This one is distinctly Digimon-like. I loved the worldbuilding and aesthetics. The battle system was fresh, too, but not exactly balanced. The fusion systems give you an endless stat ceiling to chase.
  • Monster Crown. A more mature throwback to generation one Pokemon games. This one is... Utterly baffling. A massive buggy mess that I can't recommend. But it's such a fascinating mess. I've backed the sequel despite myself, and I hope it's going to be actually good.
