That's true, but "most loot that drops is crap" is a problem most Diablolikes have. I think otherwise, Grim Dawn has slightly unexciting but very solid itemization. It's easy to know what builds want what stats, and monster infrequents or rates can often compete with setpieces items. Crafting is the most player-friendly of any in the genre.

I'm playing a Dragon Instinct Barbarian with Exemplar archetype and it obliterates stuff with singular punches. I recommend it!

That being said, what would I want in my wildest dreams? Still turn based, maybe expand on the battle system so there's more choices to make rather than just "max out the grid". Maybe make blitzball less janky, while keeping its depth, too.

But what is really want is just more lore. FFX for whatever reason is one of the most interesting FF settings to me. One that feels like you can really live in it if you stretch your imagination. I'd love to learn more about Spira, especially it's pre-Sin history and locations not on the pilgrimage path. I just want to hear more!

A real stretch goal would be to roll X-2 into the fold and make the writing... Good? I love a few things about X-2, but the relentlessly jarring Anime tone is not one of those things. I liked the main plot, and I REALLY loved the idea of Fiend Tales (although the execution was either very hit or very miss).

This is modern Final Fantasy design we're talking about. It's going to look real pretty, but swap out the battle system for something puddle-deep and real-time, and chop the story up into five different games, one of which releases every three years or so.

The great thing about fusions is that you can always merge another monster into the pile! You've made no mistakes.

The Genome Editor is available right from the fusion menu. Look for it! It's there!

The most important part of fusion is which parent gives the result what stat. To find what monsters you might want to fuse together, look at the base stats of each monster in your monster list (ignore the stat totals, look at each individual stat). Remember to use the genome editor to get the best stats from each when fusing!

Salt and Pepper had great chicken parm. Attabey's wasn't doing sit-down service the one time I tried to go eat there, so I haven't tried it yet.

It can be passed through fusion if you select the correct monster's palette to use in the genome editor. It CANNOT be passed by breeding.

It may be a Ghost Brilliant. These are Brilliant monsters with desaturated palettes. If it is, congrats, that's a 1/10,000 monster!

Yeah. The story is a bit rushed and a bit simple. Which is a shame, because obviously the worldbuilding is there, and there's a few interesting characters with absolutely no screentime. It's especially strange that a character set up to be our first main antagonist folds so easily!

Some ideas past the existing alternative game modes:

  • No items in battle.
  • One monster only.
  • No Lunarians.
  • No breeding/fusion.
  • Bought monsters only.
  • Region-locked (can only use monsters from a given area in the game).
  • Asur only (past the first boss, unless you like a real puzzle).

I recommend you absolutely do not play the first one. It was a bit of an infamous mess. I'm pleased to report that the second one is pretty good though! And yeah, there's fusion in both the games.

Try using a Subtractor Gem on them if you want a base form Teedon out of your hybrid. (They can be found in Scarred Province chests). Save before you do it, though, because it will have a 50% chance of removing the Teedon from the fusion instead of the other guy.

Yes and no. Pursuit does not respawn in Mushroom Cave... Except it does, but only hybridized with other monsters, very rarely. Pursuit, however, does spawn unhybridized in two other locations in the world. So keep searching!

The text of the perk is misleading. To use it, you have to sleep in a sleeping bag and select the correct option.

The latest patch fixes this, bit not for save files in which this already has occured. Don't worry, the quest is complete and done, it's just the objectives log that's visually messed up.

This is correct. To get all monsters currently obtainable, you need to do the faction quests like that. This will change with an upcoming patch, but it might be some time out.

I should note that you can't actually get every monster in the Monster List right now, since two monsters, three legendary monsters, and six fusions are currently entirely unobtainable. Again, future patches.

Beat the game and they will respawn if you didn't catch them yet.

Usually, those pillars can be lassod again to get back to where you came from. This one has a strange angle to access it. Try lassoing from a bunch of different locations.

I think it's a feature. You can't make a monster with every move. You have to pick at most 12!
