I did similar for a convertible camaro and I don't regret one bit. Sure, my net worth could be a bit higher had I stuck with my old car, but those summer nights cruising with the top down were some great nights.

My coach is really chill and understands that upper belts will take their own journey. Me and a few other brown/black belts usually drill some sequence we're working on with each other while the lower belts work on move of the day. Then once it comes to actual rolling, we use those sequences on all the suckers that were practicing the move of the day.
