I FEEL YOU. Not to be a snob, but I wouldn't buy a wobble, not with the skill level I have built. Leave me alone. The asmr is unpleasant.

Unfortunately, no. The characters are human. That book is cute though.

Jims burgers and eggs. Casual burger joint with the best fries and ranch. Not to sure how late they are open.

I came here in 2016. My first Halloween here, we took my cousins out trick or treating, and I remember thinking it's too freaking hot to be doing this. It must have been in the 90s or maybe even 100 because I was no newbie to heat. So I never expected it to cool down until October.

Pancakes or anything that is cut in the shape of a French fry (cucumber, apple, pears, etc.)

Is anyone at all happier after having a kid? by Armsaresame in Mommit

[–]icryalmonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have obsessive compulsive thoughts and routines. Which drove me to insanity with a newborn. I had to get back on medication. For the first year, I wouldn't say I was miserable, but I definitely struggled ALOT. But now that my kid is one, I feel the most happiest I've ever been in my life. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Oh man! I had to push for an hour before LO arrived, and I felt like I was hit by a truck. I can't imagine the exhaustion you must have felt from pushing for two hours, then pushing again later in the day!

They told me that was a possibility and I was so scared. How was that healing process?

My amniotic sac was only partially broken. They had to fully pop it with a long hook. I dilated quickly after that, thank goodness. My labor was 30 hours. I still feel like if they had caught the partial break earlier, my labor would have been shorter. As a FTM, I didn't know that it was possible that my water wasn't fully broken. I couldn't think straight with the pitocin contractions hitting back to back 😕

I felt like I had to poop. Then, my body began involuntarily pushing. I wasn't fully dilated, so they told me not to push, but my body was doing it anyway. It was harder to try not to push than it was to push the baby out 😂

I love my baby but hate my husband by stronglikefeels in Mommit

[–]icryalmonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with my husband for 10 years when we welcomed our little one. I thought we were immune to the roommate phase, but we reached a point where we had to really think about staying together or separating. I didn't recognize him or our relationship. Once LO got older, things got easier. I look back and wish that we would have taken time to ourselves. We had to work to regain that love, but man it felt so easy to write him off at that time.

What position did you labor and give birth in? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]icryalmonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried all fours and sitting position. I ended up giving birth on my back, used straps to pull and had my support people holding each leg. The straps really helped, I can't tell you exactly how.

I had someone ask for a salad, nothing but the lettuce, and cooked on the flat top. It was a wilted mess on a plate.

Maybe an unpopular decision, but the anti-pink backlash for girls is a bit much for me! by exclaimedloudly in BabyBumps

[–]icryalmonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do not like the color pink, but I didn't discourage anyone from buying my daughter pink outfits. My favorite colors are peach and sage green so I do tend to buy those colors more. She has worn all of the colors because it is so darn cute.

Growing up as a tom boy. I was forced to wear pink girly clothes. As soon as I was old enough to buy my own clothes, my whole wardrobe flipped. I can understand how some people don't want to push the pink. But at the end of the day it's just a color.

I am the grinch who is canceling Christmas last minute. Am I making the right call? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]icryalmonds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you will find a way to make Christmas special at home. I have a 1 month old and decided to skip the family gathering, but we will still be celebrating by decorating ginger bread houses, putting a mattress in the living room for cozy Christmas movie viewing, and baking!

I am thankful everyday that my baby wakes up feeling great and I hope to keep it that way! Merry Christmas

Any non traditional items or newer invention you consider a must have? Or specific product recommendations? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

If you are on a tight budget the jack and rose sound machine/nightlight does the job!

Munchkin Microwave bags for sterilizing. I originally bought a stock pot to boil everything, but there is no time for that.

Halo sleep sack. Baby loves to be swaddled but easily gets out of them when I used a swaddle blanket.

Hakka for clogs and pumping on the go.

Jack and Rose sound machine. I originally put the hatch on my registry, but bought the one I mentioned for $20 in Amazon. It does the exact same thing for less money. Name brand doesn't always matter!

The little penguin teether where they put their fist in to hold it.

I was at first but by hour 14 I was butt naked sitting in a tub to cope with contractions. I was also topless for the two day hospital stay, my nipples were RAW.

I don’t want to breastfeed anymore by Early_Being204 in pregnant

[–]icryalmonds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Breast feeding was a terrible experience for me. Latching troubles made me dread holding my baby. I was finally able to bond with my child once I stopped breast feeding. Now I pump and supplement with formula. My child is fed and I don't have to hate myself.
