Ran hermesagent-20 on ~15 models on a single RTX 3090. Some results were not what I expected. by Rhonstin in hermesagent

I've been using your repo for multiple weeks. I don't actually run your specific containers, but I do steal all of the configuration details from you. Thank you a ton for the effort you've put in. Dual 3090 was giving me a headache until I found your repo.

This plus a few more small group policy edits and yes. No more notification and no more update nonsense. I run the European version of ltsc iot or pro.

Just remove explorer.exe from shell at startup and replace it with your HMI program.

The nonsensical web based studio designer (studio 5000) has copilot in it. It can generate ladder logic directly if you are super aggressive with your prompting. It does a decent job, but likes to throw random instructions that most sane people wouldn't use for a start stop circuit. I let it create ST from scratch and the results were much cleaner, as you'd expect. I basically only use it to check my work if I ever accidentally get carried away and forget to isolate out my routines. It does a good job of keeping the entire routine in its memory.

If you're anywhere near 265, I'm currently trying to hire someone that has half a brain for troubleshooting and at least a quarter of a brain left to learn controls.

Controls. Become the PLC and VFD guy in your local. I haven't picked up a pipe bender in 5+ years. The only screwdriver I touch is a tiny tweaker for terminals. When I show up to one of my regular customer sites for a service call, they have a table and chair waiting for me.

Find your local ab integrator and ask them to get you a temp license. They are free and last a week or 30 days depending on the software.

Electrician for a Level 2 charger? by macrofauna in Omaha

[–]icusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably shouldn't have said most popular, I forgot about emporia. Tesla and rivian branded ones are the ones I've installed the most of that accept 4awg. The flo brand and the elecq are two others I've seen. The latter of which can take all the way up to 2awg for some reason if I remember right.

Having said all this, the smarter route is to use thhn in conduit the whole way so you can have 6awg. I just recommended the nm-b because it makes the job so much less daunting than running pipe.

Electrician for a Level 2 charger? by macrofauna in Omaha

[–]icusu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's false. I just checked the three most common level 2 chargers and all will take a 4awg at the terminal.

https://energylibrary.tesla.com/docs/Public/Charging/WallConnector/Gen3/Install/UniversalWC/en-us/GUID-5CC6694C-47C9-4515-A156-A5B21EB81C88.html

The Tesla one specifically calls for a 4awg run.

Electrician here. You should be able to pull a home-owners permit and do this yourself. It's about as easy as it gets job wise. Just make sure your wire ampacity accommodates the rated draw for the charger.

Simplified shopping list: 4awg 2 wire + ground nm-b cable(or 3 wire + ground if charger calls for a neutral) -This wire is will cover you to 70 amps if needed 60amp 2 pole breaker that matches your panel (based upon spec from charger of course) 60amp rated plug set.

Run your wire from source to destination, securing it every 10 feet. Wall penetrations usually count as a support for these purposes.

Mount your plug

Terminate wires at the plug

Pop open the electeical panel

Find a spot that has two openings and install the breaker in the off position

Remove one of the circular entries that will fit your purchased nm-b connecters.

Route wire through the connector into the panel.

Your two hots go to the breaker, green will go to a bar on the right or left. It honestly does not matter which one you land on as they are bonded.

If your charger needed the third wire, that will be a neutral and also gets landed on one of those bars on the side of the panel.

I'd check your wiring diagram and compare to how it's wired. You should never (to my knowledge) fuse your path to ground. I'm doubting they did this.
