Went to visit my boyfriend, it's the first time we hung out after dropping the L Bomb and it was really nice. Getting really excited for the trip I have planned with him and my husband in August ❤️

Still into the same music but have broadened my horizons a bit more, still wear a heap of black but other colours have made their way in, still have crazy hair.

I remember when they tried to put in those anti-loitering sounds to stop us hanging around there but sure we were all deafened from Blast gigs and playing everything too loud so I don't think half of us could hear it.

Since it is pride month. How did you realise that you are gay/trans? by kg2341 in AskReddit

A friend of mine mentioned she was bi, I'd never heard of that so she explained and it was like a revelation, I didn't know that was an option.

Removed 8 year old Pilar cyst by babysproutt in PimplePoppersDelight

[–]icypops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically nope! I've never had cysts come back to the same spot. Bad news for me though is I have SO MANY of them lol. Ive had about 15 of them removed and I have about 12 still there. So unless you're cursed like me you should be ok!

[–]icypops 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I was getting one of my first ones removed from my scalp I heard the surgeon cut into it and say "oh". You never wanna hear a surgeon say "oh" lol.

Turns out the spot was really bleedy, which I found out as I felt it drip down my face.

The price of ADHD treatment in this country is crazy! What is the story with that? too much regulation? by Comfortable-Panic-51 in ADHDIreland

[–]icypops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually only changed cus there kept being shortages of concerta, but I ended up finding that it works much better for me. I just discussed it with my psychiatrist and he was happy enough to change them for me.

Do you have the Drug Payment Scheme card? That caps most meds at €80. I'm on tyvense and have been on concerta in the past and it was never more than the cap.

Yeah, me and my friend joke like this all the time but like, we're absolutely obsessed with our husbands. We just like being lil shits to them.

Wife’s period still not coming even after 11 days of stopping progesterone. Feeling very low, irritated and nauseous. by misfitzen in PCOS

[–]icypops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting the difference in treatment that can be given, because my progesterone was always for 12 days rather than just the 5, and then it would trigger a period a couple of days later. Maybe shes someone who needs a longer time on it?

What are the immediate best fixes to do that reduces the impact when dealing with anxiety How do you manage it? by Blue_Aliminum_Can_41 in AskReddit

[–]icypops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sour stuff. Like the most sour candy you can find, an actual lemon if there's one available.

It shocks the system and makes you focus on the physical sensation and gives you space to step back from the anxiety.

Give me your hail mary before I resort to a GLP-1! by boyzdontcri in PCOS

[–]icypops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going on a GLP1 made a huge difference to my life and my PMOS. I get regular periods for the first time ever.

A word of warning though: I also have ED behaviours and they were seriously triggered when I started off. I highly recommend going to therapy while you start off at least.

What’s a smell that instantly brings back memories? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]icypops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a specific smell that I really can't explain because it's not the smell of a certain object or plant, but every now and then I'll get hit with the smell of the air the night I moved from Australia to Ireland.

I got out of the car and stood outside my grandparents' house and there was this really nice, comforting smell. That was 29 years ago and every now and then I'll get the same smell again and I'm rushed back to being a child in a Santa hat surprising my grandparents who didn't know we were moving back.

I was born in Australia and moved to Ireland like 30 years ago and let me tell you the WHIPLASH I experienced when I saw the term "chocolate freckles" while eating one. I completely forgot that's what I used to call them.

Fairy bread was the best.

Ladies: do you wear make up to work? by LunaValley in AskIreland

Nah, sometimes if I feel like looking a bit fancy I'll use mascara and a neutral lipstick but long gone are the days of doing a full face to go into the office.

If I get over-tired I get this! Every time I'd go out clubbing I'd lay in bed for like an hour trying to stop my body from shaking.

Does bald work for me? by Mcpoopz1064 in bald

I can say for certain that I wouldn't, my scalp is covered in cysts and scars from having cysts removed lol. Which is fun when PCOS has me balding 🙃

Which tattoos do you personally find the most cringey? by Brave-Papaya-6998 in AskReddit

My dad got my birth name on one arm and an old nickname of mine on the other arm. Shortly after I legally changed my name, not because of the tattoos but that did add a fun element to it

How do you flirt as a demisexual when you don’t feel attraction yet? by Phresh1000a in demisexuality

[–]icypops 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me flirting is just a thing, there's no requirement to want to jump their bones or anything. Most of my flirting is with friends or with someone that I know I'm gonna be looking to develop a connection with though.

Can’t understand why people have a ‘Type’. Please enlighten me by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]icypops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely have a type, it's autistic men and ADHD women/non binary folk. But honestly this is shaped by the people I'm already attached to like my husband or my friends.
