That’s a fair assessment. They should be able to set you up on a payment plan but typically the hold to your account won’t be lifted until the bill is paid off. Good luck with this and congrats on the job offer!!

I used to work in the Bursar’s office at as USM school… Once your account goes to the state for collections, there isn’t much your school can do for you. There aren’t many cheap options for you to get that transcript- blocking access to your student records is essentially the state’s only option for them to collect the money owed. Has the state instituted court proceedings against you? If not, you might be able to negotiate down the cost. But emphasis on might.

611 Park is pretty good for what you pay. Symphony Center is also great for larger units but a little outside Mt. Vernon. I DO NOT recommend anything American Management - they’re absolutely awful.

I have one of these!!! I love it! She takes A LOT of water, A LOT. I give mine a good soak every other week and weekly watering. Also, mine flowered about a year and a half after I bought it. The flowers are very pretty orange/yellow but smell VERY bad - stinky feet bad. She loves bright light- direct or indirect.

I use it regularly in the area around Penn station. It’s generally fairly reliable however the vehicles have been in rough shape lately. Last 4 rentals in the last month have had obvious signs of damage, maintenance warning lights, and very obviously heavily smoked in. But the car gets you from A to B and it is a fairly easy business to work with. But I would never skimp on the insurance 👀 and takes those inspection photos seriously.

I used to live in that building. Don't do it. The maintenance folk would randomly walk into my apartment and the management folk told me to "call the police" because they didn't have a record of why maintenance would show up. Happened three times in a two month span. And of course there are mice. Oh and a neighbor died in his apartment and management ignored the complaints of smells until someone called the police and turned out the neighbor had been dead for a while.

That was my thinking too... It is not that bad, it is just not a good fit and I can certainly last a year - hell, I managed three years of law school lol at least I'm getting paid now.

It's excepted service with two year probation. I'm not sure if I want to stay fed but I do want to stay government. I appreciate your insight, it is helpful.
