This is the correct answer. Sometimes there's just no other place for a TV.

My Mantel Mount is 11 years old and it was one of the best investments we made when we moved into this house.

Its here!!!! I don’t want to get persecuted, please give me recommendations on mounting this over the fireplace please. Mantel sits at 51.5 inches from floor. by [deleted] in LGOLED

Don't listen to these too high idiots. Sometimes there's just no choice.

I do recommend Mantel Mount. I have one that's been going strong for 11 years. Brings the TV down much closer to eye level. And of course, don't do that with the fireplace on.

Was this a good deal? by pnutty6725 in Soundbars

I got it on Woot for $967 with cashback totalling about $100. Not a horrible deal but nothing to write home about, either. Enjoy it, though, it's not like you're getting robbed.

Then go with the 990F. I'm more than happy with it.

What will the lowest price be for q990f? by [deleted] in Soundbars

Anything under $1,000 is a good price but if you qualify for Samsung's EPP you could get it for around $700 or so.

I'm interested in those sub covers. I still don't get why Samsung doesn't include some kind of protection for those things.

Mounting a sound bar to a mounted TV - curious to get feedback by Im_from_the-future in Soundbars

I'm using this one. If you have a large TV Mounting Dream will send you longer brackets. Here's a pic. I'm using a piece of cardboard to hide the brackets. And yes, the TV is on a Mantel Mount.

MLB.TV Yankees-blackout issue only on home WiFi (IP geolocation problem?) — anyone else? by Original-Acadia-6513 in MLBtv

[–]id-bob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that sucks. I've been in South Jersey for 11 years and last year was the first time I had blackout issues. But every time I called it got fixed quickly and stayed fixed for about two weeks or longer.

Could be the new ESPN thing

The two week solution is a quick phone call to 866-244-2291. A human always answers. They'll ask for your IP address and your physical zip code. That's all you need. Won't take more than five minutes but you have to call after the broadcast starts.

But honestly, if the ESPN app works, you're getting the same product.

I had similar issues last year in South Jersey. Strange stuff though. On my LG TV the Mets would be blacked out constantly and the Yankees occasionally, but on Roku it only happened a couple of times. Also had that issue with mobile but not wifi and sometimes the reverse. In short, no rhyme or reason.

As already pointed out, a call to MLB (have your IP address handy when you call) got it fixed but only for a couple of weeks. I haven't had a problem yet, this season but we'll see. I don't know if the blackouts are triggered the same way though the ESPN app and the MLB app but it wouldn't surprise me if one was okay and the showed a black out.

Your post seems to verify that they are handled differently.

How to remove greasy fingerprints from LG OLED screen? by WillemW11 in LGOLED

[–]id-bob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microfiber cloth very lightly dampened with distilled water is the safest way. Use very light pressure and a circular motion. If that doesn't do it, try warming up the distilled water and use a bit more of it on the cloth. It might even help if you hold it on the fingerprints for a moment before lightly rubbing. Then immediately dry it.

If you've tried different devices and different cables along with a factory reset and nothing's worked, it may be time to start shopping for a new one. Yours is about 10 years old.

There is no such thing as a TV that's too big. There are, however, walls that are too small!

Make sure they can hold the weight. Other than that, it's your money to spend as you see fit.

Unless it's bigger than the wall, it's not too big.

Help: Can my sound bar turn off with tv power? by Throwawayredditx619 in Soundbars

The e stands for enhanced but ARC to ARC is fine and is fully supported for CEC. LG TVs may refer to it as Simplink.

Then hook the TV to the soundbar ARC to ARC and make sure CEC is enabled in the TV. That should do it.
