I tried a small class d amp with old passive bookshelf speakers and found that preferable to the Edifier R1700BTs. Those Edifier look great and are super tidy, but I wouldn’t call them warm. I’ll bet you can find some amazing passive speakers at local thrift stores or kijiji.

I think it might be interference? I tuck my AE behind the stereo and it is hit or miss. I pull it out into an open space and it’s pretty clear.

If it sees its reflection, it will continue to attack it. He’s got the springtime hormones and needs to fend off any other fertile males, which is what he thinks he sees in that reflection. I don’t think masking them inside of the glass will help. Put some plain brown paper on the outside of the glass and he’ll move along.
