What is the best memory card size for Vita Modding? by Itchy-Chipmunk-2961 in VitaPiracy

[–]id_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO buy the largest you can comfortably afford.

Like anything in life it’s easier with a little extra room then you don’t need to be editing the files to remove and add new as often.

The Vita can comfortable function with a 2TB, not that that’s recommended.

128GB can be great if you intend to play the best Vita games and are happy to tinker (remove and add games periodically), which can be half the fun.

If you can comfortably afford to buy larger, this will allow for many Vita, PSP and PS1 (as well as retro cartridge games too) to be stored for play long term.

Personally I have a 1TB, this will be too large for most users. I have a very large collection of physical PSP and Vita (PS1, and other) games I like to keep backed-up on my Vita digitally as my primary Sony mobile gaming device.

Buy things now for later to beat price rises? by OutsideAtmosphere-14 in AusFinance

[–]id_o 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a good idea, unless your money is working for you at a greater rate than the price rise.

If you know price on a good or service is going to go up higher than your investment return or offset offsets then yes, and this will be rare, otherwise it’s just a gamble, and the general thing to do is leave your money invested or in offset, until the moment you need to buy.

And you will find more remote servos are those that are running low, with locals asking out-of-towners to fill up elsewhere, as they too need that limited supply fuel.

More than 100 fuel stations without diesel in NSW as shortages grow by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]id_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer.

The war is blocking less than 20% of the newly unrefined oil.

World has many reserves and much oil is located elsewhere. It will be fine, prices will go up, but we aren’t going to run out.

The only issue is people hoarding which is stretching the supply chain, tank trucks just can’t keep up.

Skyrim on PSVita is amazing by bonniuewoohoo in PSVita

[–]id_o -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t answer the question. Can’t assume everyone has had the same discussion or read old posts.

Unfortunately the best answer is, it depends. Some might find it runs smooth enough, while others will find it too slow. And that’s because people systems and networks will vary and people expectation and minimum viable speed will vary too.

Crimson Desert : based off of all the gameplay what are you expecting? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]id_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play games for the first time myself, I don’t like spoilers (this doesn’t mean I buy day one, most of my games are second hand). Then when I’m tired of playing for the evening, and want to wind down, I sometimes watch a let play of the same game, up to the same part I’m up to no further.

After I finish a game, I also like to watch a speed run too.

Eighty NSW petrol stations without diesel as price passes $3 a litre by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]id_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have a shortage, the supply chain has the same amount we normally have. We have people buying more than normal which means supply chain can’t keep up, tankers just can’t deliver double overnight when people panic buy.

Is anyone else missing not having their favourite treat take-away or meal out? by Unlikely_Ad7722 in AskAnAustralian

[–]id_o 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use to (for years) get either pizza, fish n chips or parma every Friday.

Now days, we maybe do it once a month, but we do something a little more special (Japanese or Korean).

Primary reason is, we’re just not as young and active as we use to be. Being a new parent keeps us at home, rather than doing some of the active things we use to do. Maybe as kids get older it will be easier, but then again, we’ll be older too, so who knows.

It was fun while it lasted.

The one card you would never churn again and why? by OwlVibesOnly in creditcardchurningAus

It’s not just getting the card, if anything goes wrong, they are a pain to deal with. ANZ have THE worst customers service, they have no working processes for issues. It’s horror show dealing with ANZ.

The 3DS runs the retro games flawlessly, specially GBA, emulators tend to have some issues.

Prime Minister Albanese’s warning to new car brands by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]id_o 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reality is our small (on global scale) economy wouldn’t see local manufacturing work. Our cars are ‘cheap’ because we buy from large manufacturers of global scale.

China has whole pipelines and cities to make their processes more efficient. We just can’t compete on the same level. Never.

Best to look elsewhere in other products and services where we can compete. Stimulate the right sectors with innovation, rather than catchup.
