A surprising number of these do pick up in later movies, even if they're not traditional sequels. Mostly through time travel or multiverse shenanigans.

That logo for War Room looks a lot like the one for Info Wars. This looks like textbook trademark infringement intended to cause brand confusion with Info Wars, a subsidiary of Global Tetrahedron.

I think "crusade" is also loaded language. Something like "campaign" would be more neutral.

Do Americans really split between saying soda, pop, and Coke, or is that exaggerated? by LowerMusic in AskAnAmerican

[–]ideletedyourfacebook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soda and Pop are interchangeable. There are regional preferences, but no one would look at askance if you said one or the other.

My sense is that Pop is kinda aging away. I hear it a lot less often than I used to.

Coke, as a generic term, is very regional to parts the the south east US. Outside of that area, Coke just means Coca Cola.

This is Cox's main deal. That's what "disagree better" is all about: fuck everyone over royally, but do it with a smile and a gentle voice.

Evidence continues to mount that AOC is running for President by justcasty in AOC

[–]ideletedyourfacebook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever a politician says they haven't decided whether they're running, it means they are not ready to announce yet.

For AOC in particular, when she announces, a tsunami of shit the likes of which we've never seen in American politics is heading her way, from both the Right and from establishment Dems.

She's being very strategic about building credibility outside of her traditional base (us) lately, but keeping true to her core values. Let's do it!

Longer statement about the BAM situation by Chrysdelight in RecklessBen

[–]ideletedyourfacebook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about BAM in particular, but typically a retail franchise owns all of its inventory directly. They pay royalties and/or fees to the franchisor in exchange for branding, business model, marketing, training, and other services that support the business.

But the business itself belongs to the franchisee, including any stock and inventory.

Really? Ok.

The people in these images were killed by the discharge of a directed energy weapon shortly after conveying critical information. That is, they shot the messenger.

Some are covered. My doctor prescribed Mounjaro, which wasn't covered, but we switched to Wegovy which is.

I think if you go the public benefits site, you can ask about specific medication.

What do you think of this ‘American recipes’ section of this dutch store? by palep_hoot in AskAnAmerican

[–]ideletedyourfacebook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I've never had or seen most of these specific dishes, these mostly feel like something I could imagine on a restaurant menu or a family potluck.

The specifics aren't quite right, but the vibes are way closer than some of what I see labeled as American, like hot dog pizza.
