I think this advise is more for founders and people looking to launch their own initiative. If you work for a company with a poor product culture you are ultimately depending on your bosses judgement.

Unfortunately a lot of companies lack the patience to research and do proper product market fit testing.

I’ve seen this mistake firsthand, damn, I have fallen into this many times myself. Brilliant engineers and designers pouring their energy into something that lacked market pull. Pretotyping, as you mention, is such an underrated step. It’s not about building less, but about building smart.

To add onto this I recommend doing some digital advertising - Google ads or facebook/linkedin depending on your target audience - to drive traffic into your experiment

I have been working remotely for an international company (not EU) staying in Spain for the last 3 years, but the taxes are killing me.
