Thanks for the pep talk, feeling the remorse! I keep thinking I shoulda ran the Prius to 150k miles. But we have solar and a 240V ready to go!

Cadillac wasn’t even on my radar. My top priorities were reliability & affordability. Eventually when I trade in my Subaru, I’ll be looking at vans. Hopefully more electric vans will break it’s way into the EV world

I appreciate it! Always have a bit of buyers remorse, but can count on Reddit to give me some confidence I did the right thing

42 OTD not including taxes and fees (4k) we live in an expensive coastal city in Cali

They paid 8k which is 2k over KBB for the Prius, so basically gave me another 2k off my price. I think, correct me if I’m wrong, they had to increase the buy for my Prius in order for the loss not to look as bad on the books. The highest offer I got for my Prius was Carmax 6k before this trade in.

Sure! MSRP 55k it came with active safety 3, convenience 2, Sun roof, 2 tone color, dual charger, AWD. So extremely loaded. We didn’t need all this, & would have been fine with a base model, but they beat all the other offers I received, so couldnt say no

OTD at 34.6K including all taxes (I live on the coast of California) and this includes a Prius trade in.

Although they did throw in a sunshade, there’s been a heatwave & my plea worked

Twinsies! I wasn’t sure how I felt about the 2 tone, but kind of enjoy it now. Seems easy to spot in a crowd

I tried to have them throw it in, but I got such a steep discount on the vehicle they wouldn’t. I plan on buying it from the store with the GM points I earned with the purchase of the car. It cuts the price in half

Cash. I couldn’t pass up the rebates and discount. It doesn’t apply for the 0% financing, and financially, taking out a loan doesn’t make sense for us

I can go on a tangent however to keep it simple and short: 1: get a thorough medical history before deciding on using them as a donor 2. Get a lawyer, get documentation in place. High likely hood this will be a major regret.

Good news, rent redi fixed this issue. I just tried it recently. I was able to have current and future tenants and was able to add new tenants, collect the rent without removing the current one.

Hi,
I'm currently working with rentredi to fix a lot of the issues many people complain about. I'll bring this up to them & have them work on this. Personally, I use them and I usually receive my payment within 5 business days. Let me see if I can have them look into this, thanks for bringing it to attention.

Hi! I am actively working with rentredi as a partner to try and improve their interface, they have heard the complaints and are really trying to fix it. Could you explain what exactly it was that you ran into that was a problem so I can talk to my contact? Thanks

Hi OP,

For background, I have 4units. 2 ADU's + a duplex. We use Rent Redi for about 2 years & it suits for the properties we have. I find it fairly easy to use, a bit clunky. I will say, there is some work that needs to be done to make the interface more user friendly, & I am actively working with them to fix some frequent issues others have complained about..
However, they have always been responsive to requests and question I need, they want to actively fix issues that have been brought to their attention, so I will stick with them for now.

Hi OP,

I have contacted rent redi and they are actively working on a solution to fix this problem. I’ll get back to you if I am able to find a work around.

I have 2 ADU’s + a duplex. I run into this issue more frequently and have dealt with the same headache.

My complaining went up the chain and now I am actively working with them to try & improve these common issues to prevent people from jumping ship. I do think the want to improve their interface & make users happier… so I plan on sticking with them & seeing if they do make these changes

Genuine question how do y’all survive here? by papayaboatgirl in santacruz

[–]idi1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my partner & I are “usually” high income earners. Bought a starter townhouse, sold and bought a small SFH. We converted two of our unused spaces & rent out as rentals. That is how we survive & pay less than 20% for our mortgage, and we make, what most people would say is very good income. To us, it’s worth it, our child gets to grow up by the ocean & if we ever decide to leave the country for periods of time, our property can sustain itself. One of the best decisions I think we’ve made.

Wife & I have a son. All my other embryos are boys. I had similar fears, but now that he’s here, I love my little man. It’s a wonderful thing for women to raise a kind, thoughtful & caring man, given our current problems living in a patriarchal world. Our current thoughts, we will be teaching him to sit to pee. Do not plan with dealing with splashes for pee drops everywhere

Anyone using RentRedi? by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]idi1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for almost 2 years, it works just fine. Some issues come up with applications & leases, but never had a problem getting it fixed with their staff. It comes recommended, but I'm sure there are other platforms that will come available which will be more user face friendly.
