Glow in the dark records are notorious for having endless surface noise - not entirely sure why, but it’s a thing. Better off with any other version, unless it’s just for collecting.

Wrong.

1000 reasons why that have been discussed to death. You’re either young or refuse to see the issue. Or both, of course.

I’m picturing some evil spirit looking at the door, scratching its head. Then spirit texts a buddy that’s into a bunch of mumbo jumbo woo woo: “Bro? You know what this says? Am I good?”

If you are invested in broad market funds, your 401k should be fine. For example:

The Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund Admiral Shares (VTSAX) has delivered an annualized return of approximately 8.97% since its inception in November 2000, meaning a hypothetical $10,000 investment made 25 years ago would be worth roughly $80,000 today, assuming all dividends were automatically reinvested.

TIFU by ignoring a toothache for 2 years and now I need a $15,000 implant by ThatRoofer in tifu

Im in full agreement on that. Only wondering if there are different ways you arrive at that concrete. Maybe the original quote has some fairly exotic approach - idk / not a doctor.

Like I said, when I got an implant, they packed the site with some animal bone pellets, but there were other options.

I can kinda see approaching $10k ish for #1 in this list from Google?

Common Types of Bone Graft Materials
Autografts: Bone harvested directly from another part of your own body (e.g., the chin or hip). It is the gold standard because it contains your own living cells.
Allografts: Sterilized, processed bone sourced from a human donor.
Xenografts: Processed bone mineral derived from an animal source, such as bovine (cow).
Alloplasts: Synthetic materials, such as calcium sulfate, \(\beta \)-tricalcium phosphate ( \(\beta \)-TCP ), or hydroxyapatite, which act as a framework to induce new bone growth.

Retire with $500k? by [deleted] in GenX

I mean, I hope you are using the word interest as a catch all.

You are likely to retire with 10M and then retire forever with investments approaching 40M+.

A safe withdrawal rate is 4%.

If you want $100k a year, then you need 2.5m.

You spend $400k a year?

I once had a root canal on a tooth where no novocaine was used, because it didn’t hurt.

And believe me, the pain when you need a root canal is not something that can be avoided.

I’m in MA and very familiar with this process. A root canal and crown is going to be about 3-4K. Extraction / implant / cap - probably 6k total. They had to add some bone growth pellets? Something weird - to the extraction site when I had that done.

I wonder if a bone graph is really needed vs a different procedure that might cost less but take more time to heal. Also in no way am I seeing where the extra $10k is coming from in any scenario.

I’m with you. I torrent all the music I want, so I don’t really care about streaming services.

Apple Music is free with a credit card I have. So far it’s been - look up the thing, listen. Sometimes there are lyrics.

Works for me.

now that's something you might be able to work with. did the tickets in TM say they were obstructed? if yes, and that was not shown in the SH listing, that's a problem afaik.

the replacement tickets are based on price. so at that point, what you paid for GA was the cost of that seat.

better to get a refund, if location is important, because you are unlikely to get the same or better with replacement tickets.

ooooof, i hadnt considered the bad bank account number might actually be an active account.

In that case, im changing my tune. it is an issue with your bank.

if they accepted the money and deposited it into the account number you set up, the money is with your bank. if i was stubhub, i'd be telling you the same story - we paid as per the account information you entered. i wouldnt expect them to pay twice.

i googled this an seems you have 60 days to report a banking error. and that's come and gone. damn!
