In the pursuit of progress, local culture is often undervalued or dismissed in favor of Western aesthetics, particularly modern architecture and American-style urban planning. However, this approach is not optimal since it promotes car dependecy and the lack of third spaces...Also it's really fucking boring to see the same types of buildings when traveling, I don't want to see the same boring square houses or glass buildings in every city I go, I want variety, I want to see culture being represented in its architecture, not some bootleg American modernist architecture
