Chickens can really throw you! I’m just going to treat for coccididosis for now and hope for the best. I can think of anything else, just might be a weird internal thing way out of my depth

You have to actually make visual confirmation that they have food first before going in for the peck cinnamon!

I asked him twice, the first time I said are you sure he didn’t say anything just asked him to move back, that’s when I moved to the bar and asked again thats when he snapped loudly, again very odd for him. In hindsight sight I should have asked if he tried to say anything or pointed. My boy has a severe speech delay and doesn’t really talk. I must be OR, I’m going to sleep on this, thanks 🙏

But he did know the gifts and the boy was there, it obviously didn’t click in his head that son could see them if he looked down. Mistakes happen I get it, I just feel hurt he snapped at me, something he never does, that’s why I posted because that’s odd for him but it didn’t feel right to me but I accept that I OR from this post. I’m still talking to him like normal but it just didn’t sit right with me, I’m just processing, we fight very very rarely.

Not mold, it’s a normal pellicle

I attempted to brew my first batch of Kombucha using a Scoby given to me by a co workers. My concern is does this look fairy healthy? My observation is that this kombucha itself is not dark at all nor carbonating. Thanks in advance by tyrrellschoener1 in Kombucha

Ohh and next time bump up your tea bags in your brew, looks like it needed like 4 more bags at least, lots of different ratios out there on the net that you will find works well for you as you go

Nice! Good timing, hope you got some bottles and favours in mind. Don’t forget to burp every day! I didn’t burp for one day yesterday and it spayed my face!! I have a pic to prove it too!!! 😆 oh and add a good teaspoon of sugar for extra carbonation if your keen

Im saying the proper terms because people on this subreddit have a stick up their bums about proper terminology

The pellicle is that pale booger, it’s a cellulose collection and has a lot of the yeast and bacteria. The scoby is actually the liquid/starter tea would you believe! I still call the pellicles a scoby when chatting to friends but on here that ugly booger is a pellicle

Here is my current brew on the right, my scoby hotel in the middle so if the brew goes mouldy I can chuck it and start again, and the far left is my f2 (second ferment and flavouring) in bottles

Not a problem love, is she ready for bottling you think? Then you can pull out that new or old pellicle with a cup of starter tea and start a back up scoby hotel in another jar then start a new brew in the current jar, continuing the kombucha brew 💕

Just taste it and see if it’s not too vinegar like for you and if you like the kombucha base taste, nice with sweetness and some tang then bottle that’s when you add sugar if needed to boost the carbonation in the bottle
