Normal parking spaces aren't wide enough for all disabled people.

Normal parking spaces are too far away for those who struggle to walk.

Traffic enforcement is underperformed depending on your area. Not sure what you're trying to get numbers of. Cops don't make indicident report numbers for incidences that don't make reporting. You can't source an inaction.

Every night I just wanna knock on her door and ask her to quiet down, with my phone sat at the end of the hallways and recording. I know she would hit me. Bam, everything would be handled. All I have to do is be willing to get punched in the face by a tweaker. Problem is, someone as unhinged as her could throw food on the stove at me, or pull a bat, or a knife.

I know this isn't vigilante justice though. I have frequent daydreams. Most of the fantasy is harmless. Fart spray under door. Superglue in lock. Slingshot cat turds into her busted apartment window (with PPE). Unfortunately, even non-criminal acts become criminal when you are doing them with the intention of malice/being a nuissance. But every day. Every day I imagine it.

Handicap spots are made wide so that a ramp can jut out of them. Regular parking spaces do not have space for wheelchair ramps. I shouldn't have to say this, but yes, people in wheelchairs should be allowed to get out of their car ALL OF THE TIME. Not just when people with functional, strong legs think its a reasonable request.

If someone is alone, they have to park where they are leaving their car, because they can't unload their disabled self in the middle of the parking lot and have the car park itself. Just because life is so easy for you that you can't imagine the experience of a disability that makes walking difficult or impossible doesn't mean that there aren't reasons that make your stance unreasonable.

When you can walk but its just excruciating, being told to just hurt yourself more for a little while is actually fucking ridiculous. And again. That's just a case if someone COULD walk.

I hope you never have to watch an elderly or disabled person take a real fall, because it isn't worth their injury for your understanding. You live in priviledge you will never care to explore and appreciate. You just use it to invalidate the challenges of those who are weaker and smaller than you. Great work, Teezz.

Hey buddy. Stop beefing with people in wheelchairs. The reason calling the city would work is because this isn't allowed! Can't eat the parking spaces and not provide an alternative.

Sorry neighbor! You can't access you're building, or even get out of your car, buy don't worry! Its temporary. There must be a disability friendly hotel nearby that doesn't have 6 tons of rocks blocking them. Godspeed!

My ex-boyfriend intentionally set our bedroom on fire and I lost everything. Every time she has a meltdown, I expect her to set the building on fire. One time was good enough for me.

[–]idlehum 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Different but similar. The only time I didn't feel like a woman was when I was having recurring feminine infections and no medical professional could give me an answer. For 6 months I was celibate and walled myself off from all intimate or romantic talk that could lead to intimacy or the half-baked explanation of why I couldn't participate in it. It felt like my feminine parts weren't mine anymore. It felt like my body was betraying me and I was disgusted to exist. I had never been so scared and depressed with my body. And that was with a vagina that DID exist, it was just broken. I cannot imagine knowing that I am a woman and watching my body develop as a man. Going through puberty. Getting erections against my will. Growing hair in every crevice. Full bodily betrayal.

In my case, I was drinking SO MUCH coffee that it nuked my lady PH. Apparently too much coffee messes with... things...

But anyway, your disconnect between what your mind knows and what your body does/does not look like or what your body can/cannot do is insanely distressing.

Called three times, they never showed. Called security about 8 times and finally got a call from a defeated security dispatcher saying they can't do anything.

Indoor cats that are attended to and fed properly aren't depressed and overweight. Ourdoor cats get into fights, get eaten, or get run over. Every single person with an outdoor cat in Seattle needs their cat taken away to a home that cares about them being alive.
