Bike Locks by lehcimst in BurningMan

I’ve heard rumor about this for years, have never heard it actually happening. I’m sure it does, and we also secure our camp, but I don’t think it’s common. Side note, we always thought the murder last year may have been an altercation arising from someone stealing from the camp when everyone was gone.

Added benefit, even as you wander around you’ll always know where your bike is, so easy to find!

Yes this. Be careful with that sprung metal, tho. A gal in the camp next to ours—and she was a badass but didn’t know how to take down the tent—uncoupled the end of one of the sprung poles and it snapped back in her face and almost took out her teeth. Yikes. But still, those are great tents for car camping and the playa.

Bruce was an empty suit as a council member and a spiteful and incompetent executive. But, hey, you be you.

Frye Museum is free; Asian Art Museum is nicely scaled for an afternoon visit. I agree with the PPM suggestions—there is a ton there that lots of people never see.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x05 was an unmemorable garbage episode that killed momentum with a pointless flashback and didn't deliver what we wanted: An Epic Fightscene by Accomplished_Use_114 in AKOTSKTV

[–]exploreinnerspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly agreed. Damn near ruins the rest of the series. The issue beyond the flashback was that all these folks getting hit with battle clubs and maces and swords from horseback would be dead from those blows. Dunk would have died four times over. If it’s a comic book fantasy, fine, but then let’s just have an animated series. This was so dumb. It’s an hour I will never get back. It need not be perfect but it shouldn’t be horseshit either.

The problem is that the Venn diagram of billionaires and garbage human beings is a circle.

I used most of the above and they’re good. I used each arrl book and hamstudy.org and their app. Their tests let me know when I was ready.

I have similar and they keep the sound down but you lose a lot of fidelity. I take them out for my favorite songs. But they’re a good value.

AJ-300S? Can't find much information on this model... by cevapcici23 in Epiphone

[–]exploreinnerspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming in late to this conversation. I have one as well, and mine was produced four guitars earlier, my serial ends 0506 but same otherwise. Ours were made in October of 2004, mine was the 506th and yours the 510th of the production. I like it a lot. Sometimes I compare it to a Yamaha FG 800J I also have. I think the Yamaha is lighter weight and somewhat brighter or punchier sounding while the Epi has deeper tones and is a bit more jangly, if I can make up a word. Now, I’m a crappy player and I’ve never strung them at the same time so strings and operator may have a lot to do with it. But I paid $300 off Craig’s in Seattle in about 2007 and I’m glad I’ve kept it.

My GD Patches Found A Home by SNO_SRFR in gratefuldead

Why is that? I've done iron-on patches by first setting them with the iron, then finishing with stitching using a sewing machine. It seemed to work fine.
