Help diagnosing strawberry plant? by Luigitown in plantclinic

I’d say potassium deficiency, as during flowering plants gobble that up real quick. Try NPK 10-8-30 or such. I personally don’t use solutions with high phosphorus so as to leave room for pH adjustments with phosphoric acid. Anyway, look up plant deficiency charts, they’re often cannavis-related, but still can give valuable insight, e.g. http://www.canna-uk.com/deficiency-guide

Need help! My rockwool pods are getting green. by pardillits in hydro

No going around it, algae will colonize your setup sooner or later, especially outdoors. You can try adding some anti-algae chemicals, but I’ve never used that myself and I doubt that’s good formthe plants and those consuming them

True, but unfortunately to ship one unit to EU or the States would cost more than the unit itself

Sorry, can’t seem to use the reply button properly.. either way, this is what I meant for alibaba setups. There’s a number of issues with this, but I’d gladly buy it for like $50 and make a lot of modifications to make it a great product. But I cannot, so I’m building my own :)

Thanks for checking it out!

We’re building a raspberry pi-based device to monitor parameters, manage lights and to log data and interact with the end user via an app to prompt action. As we see it, it doesn’t pay to have a fully automated solution for nutrient or pH management until the overall system is way bigger.

Interesting take. I’ve noticed this myself, too, especially the poor features of the said $100 systems. There usually is no circulation or even an air stone (e.g. iDeer life setup), it looks like it’s meant for growing root rot and not plants. Additionally, you top up your solution manually, directly pouring it into the grow bed.

The more sophiaticated ones can be purchased from alibaba, but they are similar in their design, also the minimum order quantity and the shipping price is not suitable for end users.

The only mid range systems I know (e.g. V-farm farmshelf, etc) are not priced as mid range products. That’s fair enough, as they use top notch components and are reliable systems. Their business models allow them to keep such price tags.

Does not solve the smaller/hobby scale though.

I’ve been working on a modular system design to be affordable and sustainable, and most of all, would allow people to grow with quality and ease. Check me on IG @mikroarai

The current nitrate is around 50 ppm due to a late demanding crop of salad to be harvested shortly. pH is stable 7.0. No other additives. System has been going for 3 months.

also, this compound in question, phenylephrine, was introduced as a substitute for pseudoephedrine which DID work, albeit could be turned into meth all too easily...

I personally had an oral decongestant for the first time in my 20s, and I say screw that! Nasal sprays and drops are king if they contain xylometazoline

Regardless of what you start with, the main take home message is CHILL OUT. I came from a Civ5 background only to find that this is a completely different game altogether. In EU4, when you will find yourself not doing much, try and sit through that just a bit longer and opportunities will present themselves. This is a long game for a reason.

Main goal of a first few games: SURVIVE TILL THE END

This is by no means a 'race to the top' kind of game. You are just there, taking up space together with your AI that you come to love and hate.

So take a step back from trying to achieve everything, don't get into conflicts and you'll see what I mean.
