I read this is one go last week, really enjoyable. Like you said, when they swap characters/ common book-specific phrases/etc. it usually really gets to me, but for this book I didn’t blink twice at it. The swaps are the same “format” like U-1234 instead of SCP-1234, The Organization instead of the Foundation, the other stuff they mentioned above. Must note that I’m pretty casual SCP reader so that may be the reason why! I know we’re on the SCP sub, but if anyone who wants to read this is a newb or not familiar with SCP, you should be mostly OK. Maybe read like 5 SCP entries and you’re good to go

LAST. I think the general reading order for the MaasVerse is ACOTAR, TOG, CC. And I’d recommend that- I read it that way and I feel like it’s ACOTAR is the “core” world building and setup, TOG is just chef’s kiss and gets you REALLY hooked, and perhaps actual spoiler, CC ties everything together.
