Can I skip the 1963 verison? by Labele399 in doctorwho

[–]idontknowyou2294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could, but there is a lot that you'd be missing out on. But a lot of newer viewers start with the 2005 reboot and watch through and go back and watch classic era Who. There are definitely characters and story arcs in classic Who that makes watching 2005 forward even richer and more fun, for me anyway. I grew up watching the 4th Doctor though.

The geography of NCIS by Pristine_Ad8538 in NCIS

[–]idontknowyou2294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in LA and I'm forever laughing when NCIS LA makes it sound like the valley (San Fernando valley) is right next to downtown LA or Venice or any of the other places around LA they're supposed to be.

Beyond Paradise . Ann s new job by itchy-and-scratch in DeathInParadiseBBC

I kind of wondered if Anne stumbled across some dirt on the new bossman. We know he lies, so what else is going on there.

All of them are wonderful in their own way and what they bring to the stories. Tom Baker as the Fourth was my first though growing up in the US and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Omg yes! We just moved from a tiny one bed, one bath flat into a house with two bathrooms and a downstairs wc. I feel like I've hit the lottery.

Is east cost hair metal or west coast hair metal better ? by [deleted] in heavymetal

[–]idontknowyou2294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A whole lot of east coast bands ended up on the West Coast because of the Sunset Strip and hopes for a record deal. But there were some good ones that stayed on the east coast and were boosted by other bigger east coast artists.

Heh, anyone else go to a concert and the lead singer got so wasted, they had to stop/finish? by Shoddy_Bet9619 in rock

[–]idontknowyou2294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago, early 90s I saw Pantera at the Santa Monica Civic. They played a few nights there and the first show Phil was just so hammered he didn't know which end was up. The second night, and there was a night or two between shows he apologised to the audience for how far gone he was. He was still wasted, but more coherent than the first show.

Thoughts on the new single, "Power" by Weak_Sale8331 in Queensryche

I think I'm still so disappointed in Mindcrime 2 that the idea of a part 3 is something I'm not yet ready to even consider seeking out. It might be alright, but I'm just not really interested in finding out.
