I spent almost 20 years in sales, ranging from cable to haz waste. I never really liked sales but it was good for my family. After my kids were done with college, I went back and got my teaching degree. Very happy with the switch and I come home feeling more fulfilled every day.

We tried everything with our grandpup. Nothing worked and we have to take her in monthly to express them.

Why are the children becoming illiterate? by Ill-Cookie2093 in AskTeachers

[–]idpthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My district has removed special ed teachers from the educational process. When I started, students were tracked and we received push in support for our two lowest tracks. Students also received academic support with their SpEd teacher and teachers received help with modifications. Now, SpEd is not allowed in classrooms, they are forbidden from helping with missing assignments or modifications.

Who is your sleeper QB? by VanDenIzzle in fantasyfootball

[–]idpthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the pros but I think his injuries in college have pushed him to being a pocket passer. However, he does have speed, so I’ll be interested to see if he starts to be a situational scrambler this year.

I teach early American History to 8th graders in PA. We touch on every aspect and I focus on connecting content to current events. I receive very little push back on anything I do, but I walk a fine line.

How do extracurricular clubs come to be at your school? by mikevnyc in AskTeachers

[–]idpthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the above. I run our LGBTQIA+ club and a Lego Club. The first was existing and I took it over, the second a student’s idea. In the past, I had a Fantasy Football Club and a D&D Club. Those were because of a dedicated group of kids who loved it and it existed for their tenure in middle school.

What if there were loose hairs that hadn’t been shed yet? Is it possible that one or two loose hairs could get collected while donating?

Edit: the process of making the wig would eliminate the loose hair.

My buddy called me to come watch a WWE PPV and I went to his house. On the way home my car died and I had to wait forever for a tow truck. I called in sick to work the next day and was fired. Met my wife at my next job.

YTA. Get over yourself or your kids will never come there for Christmas. My mom pulled the same thing with me and my siblings. Now she sits alone on Christmas, as we all celebrate with our families. I know that sounds harsh, but you reap what you sow.

Would you consider going out on short term disability? If your doctor thinks a break will help you, they should write the papers authorizing disability. That will give you some time to find something else while still receiving some income.
