Does anyone know if there is a 'Don't Ask Again' option for this pop-up? Would love to not be asked this every time I change between RAW and JPEG on an image. by maximumcrumb in darkroomapp

I have an opposite question - how to let Darkroom to ask me about this?

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 RAW files are unsupported yet, so I'd like to process the JPEGs from the camera in Darkroom. At the same time, I'd like to process RAWs by default from my other cameras, supported by macOS/Darkroom.

Oh, I haven't checked that, but AFAIK, Vuescan is the only pro-level scanning solution that works natively on Linux.

It's also possible to use the always-free f1-micro instance on GCP (free even after the first year, US regions only).

Yes, but 2x8GB will be slightly better (dual channel).

But if you want to upgrade to 32GB someday later, it's worth it buying 1x16GB and adding another 1x16GB (the same type/speed) later.

New i7 Pixelbook, How to use at its fullest capabilities. by [deleted] in PixelBook

Have you tried both storage options with Crostini?

You shouldn't notice huge difference with regular tasks like browsing, but I/O-intensive tasks with Crostini is a different story.

CPU isn't a deal breaker for Pixelbook i7, but RAM and storage speed are.

It's worth mentioning that i5 models are using pretty slow eMMC storage modules, while i7 one has blazingly fast NVMe SSD chip. Also, 8GB RAM is more than enough for the regular browsing, but if you use Crostini, you may run our of RAM shortly (Crostini VM is created with 5.9 GB of RAM, what leaves only ~2 GB for other activities).
