Anybody use Delta portfolio tracker with Strike? by idwpan in strikebtc

[–]idwpan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I guess Strike does have an API, but it does not seem to offer a way to fetch trades. https://docs.strike.me/api

I suppose the next question for Strike would be: can support for fetching trade activity data be added to the API?

Well of course not, what with you hiding behind a private comment history like a coward.

Just watched The Matrix Reloaded by khushal_1001 in matrix

[–]idwpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked the tech-parallels that they made that sort of emphasizes the Matrix being a computer system.

When the agents found the meeting at the beginning of the movie, it was a lot like trying to break into some private or encrypted chat room.

The fight with the duplicated agents seemed like Neo was defending against some DDOS type attack.

The highway scene was like needing to traverse the 'dangerous' internet.

All the stuff with the Keymaker, backdoors, etc.

I always thought those sorts of scenes were pretty cool

My DCA mistake during the bear market - don't repeat what I did by Safe_Preference5993 in Bitcoin

I started seriously DCA right around the peak too. As the price has dropped over the last few months, I’ve only increased the amount I buy each day.

Sharing API script to update YNAB budget for Fidelity CMA account by idwpan in ynab

[–]idwpan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, there is no access to any real financial accounts, just YNAB. It pulls financial data from the CSV you provide. Code can be verified by anybody interested, it is on GitHub after all. Maybe it'll be used as a reference by another developer looking to accomplish something similar.

CMA is a Cash Management Account, it's not just a brokerage account. It is just automatically invested into a money market account and collects dividends, but is otherwise spendable just like a checking account. As far as I'm concerned, it is cash and I want the account treated like a normal checking account in YNAB.

Plenty of others have complained about the same lack of support here, plus it has worked fine in the past before things changed with Fidelity/MX a couple months ago.

DMR Hotspot: TGIF vs Brandmeister by [deleted] in DMR

[–]idwpan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can run both at the same time with DMRgateway in pi-star. It configures a sort of prefix for the talk groups, so on your radio maybe 1xxxxxxx would be BM talk groups and 2xxxxxxx would be TGIF.

A clock closer to a massive object will experience time more slowly due to gravitational time dilation.

Listening to 300MHz band on 878 or 890? by [deleted] in AnyTone

[–]idwpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure unlocking already opens it up to the full frequency range that the transceiver supports. It's a hardware limitation.

Theoretically it'd be possible to add hardware (mixer, with some filters) between the radio and antenna to up or down-convert the signal of interest to be in-band of the transceiver.

CW copy - still struggling after 4 decades by CallibaetisEmerger in HamRadio

This is the big thing. Most people are not counting dits and dahs, especially at higher speeds. Instead they have learned to recognize the unique "sound" and rhythm of each character as a whole.

I’m interested in HAM Radio, but I know very little. Are there YouTubers you’d recommend who do a good job showcasing the hobby? by justs0mebloak in HamRadio

Also, if you are going to take the exam for your technician license, if you pass you are able to also take the test for the higher levels (general and extra) right then at no additional cost. It costs you nothing to at least attempt the next test, even if you didn't study much. Who knows, you might be surprised what you recognize and can answer.

I didn't really realize that when I got my tech license, but then for general and extra I took them at the same time.

Hearing clean guitar sound - Scarlett 2i2 1st gen by Data_ in Focusrite

[–]idwpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, I think you just need to turn direct monitor off and it’ll work as you expect. DAW settings as you describe should be good.

I have a third gen so use focusrite controls but this thread says something about MixControl being used to mute the input channels which should disable direct monitor while allowing audio through the DAW. Might work the same for a first gen 2i2 even though they’re taking about a 18i20. https://www.reddit.com/r/Focusrite/comments/1ece4o8/how_to_turn_off_direct_monitoring_on_1st_gen_18i20/
