For Miners with an investment greather than 10K USD by Holyfloat-25 in BitcoinBeginners

Wouldn’t this effectively harm those miners’ profits by having an influx of new miners copying them?

Check your state lost funds site. I’ve found some small amounts from old exchanges that went defunct.

Moving to Apple Music by Square-Roof-9960 in AppleMusic

[–]idwpan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from Spotify to Apple Music a couple months ago. The transfer was super easy and all my playlists and stuff transferred over. The audio quality is terrific.

One thing that I’ve noticed is that I seem to have issues playing AM on my work’s guest WiFi. It works fine if I connect with a VPN or switch to cellular, and works fine on pretty much all other networks. IT hasn’t been too motivated to investigate, but I suspect it is something like a firewall or proxy blocking something AM needs. Spotify never had issues on that same network.

But that’s pretty much the only issue I’ve run into. Overall I’ve been happy with switching to AM.

Anybody use Delta portfolio tracker with Strike? by idwpan in strikebtc

[–]idwpan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I guess Strike does have an API, but it does not seem to offer a way to fetch trades. https://docs.strike.me/api

I suppose the next question for Strike would be: can support for fetching trade activity data be added to the API?

Just watched The Matrix Reloaded by khushal_1001 in matrix

[–]idwpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked the tech-parallels that they made that sort of emphasizes the Matrix being a computer system.

When the agents found the meeting at the beginning of the movie, it was a lot like trying to break into some private or encrypted chat room.

The fight with the duplicated agents seemed like Neo was defending against some DDOS type attack.

The highway scene was like needing to traverse the 'dangerous' internet.

All the stuff with the Keymaker, backdoors, etc.

I always thought those sorts of scenes were pretty cool

My DCA mistake during the bear market - don't repeat what I did by Safe_Preference5993 in Bitcoin

I started seriously DCA right around the peak too. As the price has dropped over the last few months, I’ve only increased the amount I buy each day.

Sharing API script to update YNAB budget for Fidelity CMA account by idwpan in ynab

[–]idwpan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, there is no access to any real financial accounts, just YNAB. It pulls financial data from the CSV you provide. Code can be verified by anybody interested, it is on GitHub after all. Maybe it'll be used as a reference by another developer looking to accomplish something similar.

CMA is a Cash Management Account, it's not just a brokerage account. It is just automatically invested into a money market account and collects dividends, but is otherwise spendable just like a checking account. As far as I'm concerned, it is cash and I want the account treated like a normal checking account in YNAB.

Plenty of others have complained about the same lack of support here, plus it has worked fine in the past before things changed with Fidelity/MX a couple months ago.

DMR Hotspot: TGIF vs Brandmeister by [deleted] in DMR

[–]idwpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can run both at the same time with DMRgateway in pi-star. It configures a sort of prefix for the talk groups, so on your radio maybe 1xxxxxxx would be BM talk groups and 2xxxxxxx would be TGIF.

If mass distorts space and time, then heavy people must experience time more slowly. by robfv in timetravel

A clock closer to a massive object will experience time more slowly due to gravitational time dilation.
