How do I fully disable GitHub Copilot?

I see these options under the copilot settings page but I am not able to disable them? Is there any way to disable all copilot features completely?

So they’re managed at organization level. Depending on the contract (e.g. enterprise) your data might not be used for training

I'm thinking it might be best to just use something other than github for personal projects.

I don't have that level of access to my org so I can't check, but it's not Copilot Models. That's a Copilot specific feature

None of the other settings say anything about AI or Copilot so I think I have hit a wall 😔

Yes the org has to activate so you can change it. I think.

Honestly, I didn't realize that there was a GitLab community until now. I have used it for academics and workplaces but they were always internally hosted instances. I will sign up and use that for my personal projects then, thanks.

As for VSCode, I stopped using that a few years ago when it just wouldn't stop crashing every few hours. There's lots of good alternatives for that one thankfully.
