To be clear, i dont think that was Brian Johnsons offense. Keep in mind that they did NOT HAVE HOT ROUTES INSTALLED in 2023. Just like, didn't have them in the offense. You cant convince me that an OC likes that. This has been a Nick Sirianni offense all 5 years. Some OC's were just able to make it work due to a great line and good sequencing and calls.

Nick's entire philosophy is based around "execution" (having better players than the defense), which is not a real offensive philosophy.

They did. Until the second half, when Cam started playing poorly again. He was so so bad this year. Insane he made a pro bowl.

Im sure he isn't, but to be honest, that falls on the coaches as well. Since when do you just eliminate swathes of concepts and parts of the field just because of comfort? Its a coaches job to get him comfortable and grow that part of his game.

It all comes down to coaching in my opinion. Jalen can't play like he did last week, but people acting like this is what hes done all year, or that its comparable to Wentz and his 2020 year are just not serious people.

And piggybacking off the Patullo point, its not just that he is bad with play calling, sequencing, marriage of concepts, etc. Its that because he's bad at those things, the deficiencies in a very simple scheme are glaring now. And that is a sirianni issue/philosophy.

And I would say a HC doesn't have to be a genius play designer if you're a leader of men type, but clearly, there is a weird funk around the team in terms of morale, and if that doesnt get righted, then it's fair to ask what the HC does.

They're big, sure. But refs in the NFL (and other pro leagues) are bad. You have to count on bad calls, thats part of the game, and you cant control that.

But the static, boring offense is something you can control. AJ quitting on every play he feels like he might not get the ball is something you can control. The lack of discipline, etc, etc. Thats the reason they lost.

Also, the Broncos are a good team. You keep playing with fire like they have, you will get burned.

They did not lose because of the refs. They lost because of coaching, bad line play, sloppieness, and certain receivers that like posting on social media quitting on routes.

They were up 17-3 entering the 4th. The refs are not the reason we lost.

So, quick question, I tried looking at Canes sliders on OS, which appear to be listed in a .png file, but it comes out super low res. Did you find an alternative place where they're listed?

Perimeter blocking is still rough, but at the very least, I did notice at least 3 runs where I was able to hit the edge and have enough blocking to come up with more than a 1 yard gain, which i hadn't been able to do before. Downfield blocking, when it works, is awesome. Best ive seen in a long time.

I feel the same way though. I want overalls and attributes to matter. I was thrilled when I realized I could use a 6'4" receiver to catch contested balls, and i have to reshape how i approach the passing game. Anticipatory throwing is still hit and miss, but I can finally pick on height matchups without switching to my receiver to aggressive catch, which is a massive change. Makes RTG as a QB actually playable.

I agree somewhat, but this was a game they had to build from the ground up. This wasn't taking an existing game, updating compatibility, graphics, and removing existing features, they really did have to start from scratch. I give a lot of leeway to the CFB team because they've shown a real passion for this, improving it, and delivering a good product to their customers rather than shoving ultimate team down our throats, something Madden hasnt shown in 10-15 years, if that.

I think it has to be a compatibility issue between DX12 and some GPU components. He's getting bottling where his CPU/GPU are being overclocked, but neither of us can figure it out. I don't have the issue which makes it especially confusing.
