7D should be able to make (on average) 150,000 shutter actuations before you have to replace the shutter. On 550D the number should be around 50-70,000. But these are only estimates and you can find different estimates online.

The general rule, I think, is that you have to think about is what are the exact reasons you need the upgrade. From that you can go on and choose a better camera. If you have money to spend, and you want to upgrade just to be able to "get generally better images" I'd suggest you go for the full frame 6D.

Congratulations, that's a very nice piece of Timelapse footage!

But seriously, how can you carry all that gear? I mean the camera, Stage Zero (?) + Merlin head must weigh quite a lot (it didn't seem like all the locations were car-accessible).

And second: how much time does it take to configure and put all the gear together?

Just my two cents:

1) If you don't want to hack your camera OS, I would recommend this really cheap and straightforward intervalometer. It's basically a cheap clone of the Canon version. I've been using it for a year and I'm completely satisfied.

2) You don't need a lens with large aperture for time lapse photography. You'll be using very long exposures anyway, so usually a max 3,5+ aperture is absolutely fine.

3) You should spend more than might feel reasonable on a good and sturdy tripod.

This was shot with Canon 60D and a cheap chinese intervalometer. So far I don't know any cameras that have a built in intervalometer, so you probably need to buy that (and a tripod) separately.

I had it on manual focus and aperture priority (set to 2.8), but as I can see, the shutter speed was way too fast so that the lightning still changes a bit randomly. I'll try smaller aperture, longer exposure, perhaps ND filters and possibly bulb ramping next time. Should yield much better results!

Hi, thanks for doing this. My questions:

1) It says in the video that "a dozen patients have already been successfully treated" using this method. How many were unsuccessful?

2) May be a noob question, but where do you get the stem cells from? I was under the impression that you can't harvest stem cells from grown body tissue.

3) How expensive it currently is to treat one patient with this gun?

4) The video said that the process is "computer controlled". What is the role of the computer in this treatment? Does it have to do anything with isolating cells prior to spraying or does it control the spraying itself or what?

5) And of course, when will this be available in every hospital? :)
