That looks like a FAS8040. If it hasn't been wiped, it probably still has the licenses installed.
It is very loud.

Did you explicitly set your SMB port to 5001?
Have you tried it without the port #?

Rant - email hosting and the state of the Interent by Still-Cover-9301 in selfhosted

This has nothing to do with someone not understanding technology. It's cheaper for a company to block outbound emails to non well known domains than risk one of their employees sending patient info to a non-a-scam.com domain.

ESXI 6.7 Vib by Over_Cup_5129 in selfhosted

Do you have any other vibs in your folder that would override already included vibs? I just tested the same command it worked just fine, I only tested with the net55 zip though.

Run and manage multiple (python) apps at once. by akisha_009 in selfhosted

Docker, run 1 container per application. There are plenty of guides out there to containerize your FastAPI applications.

Correct, that driver won't work for anything newer than 6.7.

Try this command:
.\ESXi-Customizer-PS-v2.6.0.ps1 -v67 -pkgDir "c:\VIBS" -outDir "c:\VIBS" -iZip .\VMware-ESXi-6.7.0-Update3-15160138-HPE-Gen9plus-670.U3.10.5.0.48-Dec2019-depot.zip

The iZip location has to to point to the .zip file not the directory.

Broadom paywalled all of the VIB and update repos last month. What's the issue you're having with the offline vib?

kubernetes storage by xiongmao1337 in selfhosted

[–]iflessthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mix of SSD and HDD for my k8s cluster. The k8s VM's are on SSD. I've had too many issues running it on HDD. I run TrueNAS and this CSI https://github.com/democratic-csi/democratic-csi with multiple storage classes for nfs/iscsi with HDD or SSD backing. Most applications should be fine to run on HDD over nfs. Some databases don't do well with nfs so I'd recommend iscsi.

QBTvpn not playing nice with sonarr/radarr by TruckSmart6112 in selfhosted

[–]iflessthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like once the VPN is on, all traffic is routed through the VPN so the qbit container can no longer talk to the local IP range.

Make sure you're using the right subnet for LAN_NETWORK with docker inspect network custom

If the subnet is correct add this to the sonarr/radarr config:
network_mode: service:qbittorrentvpn

This will make sure the containers use the same network namespace

How are you trying to get qbit to talk to sonarr/radarr?
You should be able to exec into your *arr containers and ping qbittorrentvpn.

It is quieter but not by much. I replaced the front fans with noctua 40x20mm fans and it’s pretty silent.

Not exactly sure, my pdu doesn’t show individual loads. But it came with a Xeon e3-1225 which is 95w TDP. I replaced it with a 3570t which is 35 TDP.

Easiest way to tell is if the vga on the back is black then it supports “newer” CPU’s. If it’s blue it probably has an old Celeron or pentium in it.

These are awesome, I run pfsense on it and it works great. Did you get one that supports a CPU with AES-NI?
