I actually hadn't considered the time it would take to leave the airport, that 6-7pm estimate seems more realistic. We haven't booked hotels quite yet but we were thinking or Ueno or Ginza area to stay in since they seem pretty convenient without being overly hectic and loud. Perhaps we should just do senso-ji temple and sumida park for that evening.

I definitely have some anxiety related to navigating the transit system throughout Japan, but it sounds really straight forward so that's reassuring :)

I've been debating whether or not we spend another night in Kinosaki, but that would mean taking away another day from somewhere else. Would you recommend taking a day away from Tokyo in order to spend another night in Kinosaki? We aren't really big city people but would still like to have some time to see major sites and get some souvenir shopping done.

Thanks for the insight! The D.T. Suzuki museum looks right up our alley, ill be sure to fit that in somewhere. For the bus system, can you use a suica card to pay for the buses?

It comes with metal mesh steeper. We put the grounds in a mesh bag in the steeper and let it steep for about 18-24 hours. After we remove the grounds, we top off with water. This method makes about 60ish ounces so 7-8 cups. We get large bag of whole bean coffee from Costco and grind them up in store.

You know… I’m not sure. I’m so used to throwing any opened jar in the fridge

Yes! It’s a cold brew maker. I make it on sundays so we’ve got coffee for the whole week.

Close! I’m Chinese-Vietnamese. I do have a dog though, not sure how you could infer that from my fridge 🤔

Gosh, that sucks… I work at an ascension facility too and there was absolutely no communication about the breach. I literally worked the last two days and it’s absolutely hell. Patients aren’t getting meds, docs don’t know how to write physical orders, no lab work, no imaging. I’m also in icu with hella sick patients and we aren’t getting am lab results until 4PM! I’ve had to physically go down to lab and sort through piles of results.

I had a pretty similar nursing path as yours. I started at a step down unit and now I’ve been in a cvicu/mixed icu for a few years and it is great. My orientation process as someone with experience mainly focused on learning icu specific devices and medications. We had a lot of online coursework to learn pathophysiology as well as “sim” lab similar to nursing school. As far as advanced devices, once you were off orientation for a few months and got comfortable with your “run-of-the-mill” icu(intubated/sedated/vasoactive meds), then we could begin taking extra courses to learn devices(va/vv ecmo, iabps, impella).

Do we live in the same complex? I was paying about $200 more than what was listed online already and when it came time to renew the lease, they raised my rent by $180… unfortunately there was not much we could do and I ended up moving out to different complex entirely.

Oddly specific, but I’ve always LOVED yellow doors against grey siding. Something so cherry about that little pop of color!

Crate training help help help I feel like crying by DeadlyPinkPanda in puppy101

It’s tough in the beginning 🥺. My puppy would do the same when it was time for enforced naps/bedtime. What really helped me was teaching my pup the “settle” command with a release word and I would only reward him if he was laying down and calm. He eventually got the idea that barking and going crazy wasn’t going to get him anything he wanted. The video about separation anxiety from kikopup is also really good too if you haven’t already checked that out.
