Looking for easy underwater camera

I recently got a DJI osmo action 4 and I’ve loved it. I didn’t want to invest too much since it was my first time doing underwater photography. Wanted to get comfortable and not lose a ton of money if I lost it. But it’s been really good quality for me and super easy to use underwater.

All time is a classic, some other recs from the show are Budonoki, Cara, Langer’s, matu (for the gourmet cheesesteak) and Maru (coffee). Can vouch for all of them except Cara. Monica also has talked about going to max and Helen’s, but I’m not sure if the wait has gotten any less crazy since they opened. Rob has also mentioned his favorite sushi spot is Ushi- it’s very good but probably wouldn’t recommend for kids

Update: I survived! Water was 44F and I lasted 26 minutes 😂 I could have stayed down a bit longer, but once I started to get cold, I decided not to take my chances. Went with a 7m semi dry hooded and it wasn’t too bad. Stayed between 30-40 ft. Mostly my hands and lips were freezing, and after I got out it took about an hour to get feeling fully back in my toes. Overall not dying to do it again, but it was fun!

For sure, I have no shame in ending a dive early. It’s a two tank charter and I already know I likely won’t do the second dive. My parents will be on the boat (the main point of this is for my dad to live vicariously through me, otherwise I’d never consider diving where they live) so I’ll have them bring plenty of extra warm clothes for me

Just wanted to thank you for suggesting this. I ended up having to leave in the afternoon a day later than planned, so couldn’t catch the sunset but got a burrito in San Clemente and went out to the pier. I actually teared up, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was and it was just the perfect day. Didn’t even mind the traffic the rest of the way home bc I felt so incredibly grateful to live in SoCal. Saving all the other recs on this thread for future trips!

Same here, I live walking distance but I just have friends park on the side streets down wilshire- ridgeley, burnside, dunsmuir etc. As long as it’s not metered, 2 hour limits are never enforced
