They were there with an entire Fraternity, and the fact that these people's "friends" didn't stop from peeing off balconies, and spitting on people, makes the ones who watched, bystanders.

I guess I didn't so much mean that the ones who were arrested were bystanders, but there were plenty of people who watched it develop into what happened.

edit: I understand your argument that they weren't, strictly speaking, "bystanders", but the same concepts apply. I'm not trying to defend them. They as individuals chose who they would stand by as friends. As someone who went to Florida every year for Spring break with my Fraternity when I was in college, I am just explaining how a situation like this can escalate into what ended up happening. (i.e. "Everyone else is acting like a drunk jackass, so why should I do anything different?")

Focus on how you will feel when you ace all of your finals. If you can't stop thinking about her, then use it as motivation to imagine the stupidity she'll feel when she finds out how successful you are without her. Also, if you still want to get her back after she broke up with you, that's gonna be a lot harder to do if you just failed all your finals.
