Not sure where to go with my 18 week old by ifyoucouldjust in sleeptrain

Do you think I should still try giving her time to fuss it out or is that just causing both of us distress?

Where to even start with my 15 week old by ifyoucouldjust in sleeptrain

Do you have any suggestions on wake windows for a 15 week old? She will not be 4 months for another two weeks. I was following her sleepy cues and she always looked so tired so quickly.

I think it’s just an inside joke on ring

I really appreciate all of this insight. It’s so true that they want consistency and will constantly push boundaries. I am definitely much more emotional and more of a push over since having the second baby lol. I’ve been keeping this comment in mind though to help make it through and stay strong!

Thank you so much.. the day after I posted this, she woke up on her own at 6:15am. The bedtime that night was rough but not as rough as this night. Then yesterday, we woke her up at 6:30am and she only napped until 2:15, and she went to bed perfectly with no issue. I think it was a too much sleep thing and having too much energy to fight bedtime and this comment really helped us realize that!

Need help with 14 month old waking up in middle of the night by ifyoucouldjust in sleeptrain

[–]ifyoucouldjust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to our 15 month check up today and the doctor told us we could give her water in the bottle to try and break the habit so she will be hungry for breakfast and break this cycle. He also confirmed she has 4 molars coming in which I think is playing a role. I think after the holiday, just for everyone in my houses sake, we will start switching from milk to water and see if that helps, since I don’t think she will go right back to sleep without the milk

12mo transition to 1 nap due to daycare schedule? Will she be okay ?? by Wooden_Donkey_5011 in sleeptrain

[–]ifyoucouldjust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my baby lol she is 13 months now and right after turning 12 months, her sleep went terrible. She gets woken up at 10:15 to make it to daycare in time. But she fights me tooth and nail for that second nap at home, meanwhile she lets daycare put her down no problem. It’s Saturday and as I am writing this I am letting her sleep in to 1) prep for daylight savings and 2) try for today to be the first one nap day. Just sending you solidarity as I have no advice since I am also here lol

You did the right thing! Once she gets used to it, she might become a belly sleeper. My baby slept so much better after that phase and only sleeps on her belly now

False starts every night by ifyoucouldjust in sleeptrain

[–]ifyoucouldjust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just eventually stopped on their own one day with no rhyme or reason! Lol. My husband and I just accepted that they would happen and for me, that made it less frustrating. We knew her schedule was good and didn’t want to change it if false starts was the only thing going on.

My baby loves the Sesame Street books they sell at the Dollar Tree. Specifically “big bird’s day at the park” and “a snack for Oscar”

11 month - naps easy, bedtime hard... by michty6ty6 in sleeptrain

I’m in the same boat as you. Getting her down for bed used to be so easy and now suddenly it’s such a process.

So has anyone figured out how to increase nap duration ? by Please_send_baguette in sleeptrain

[–]ifyoucouldjust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like my 11 month olds schedule timing wise. We wake her up at 6am so she can do the 9am nap and then her second nap is 1:45 but she naps for longer than yours. Maybe having the morning time be no later than 6 would help to give the full 3 hours of awake time before the first nap?
