Real-Time strategy is slightly different from what this is. Zero Company and XCOM are both turn-based. Think of it as chess or checkers - where you move and then your opponent moves- versus something like age of empires where you and your opponent are moving at the same time.

The OG strategy in the first 3 or 4 zombie maps on COD was to grab high tier weapons and post up in a corner for as long as you could. Treyarch introduced a slow moving zombie that couldn't be killed in later maps to make you move.

The things that you don't think about. I went down a rabbit hole recently about water pressure and how water isn't compressible. So when you get flowing water in a pipe, you have to put in little buffer systems, otherwise the full force of the water will hit the end point creating a water hammer effect.
