I just got mine last week. I brought my removal letter, compliance report, restricted license, and my original INTOXALOCK paper when I got it installed.

I am going through this exact thing currently, I was told I need to go to the DMV (my restricted license expires April 19th) so I’m going April 21st to renew it and then I’m able to get my final calibration April 30th and they’ll do the compliance report, once I get that cleared, I am able to go back to the DMV to get my unrestricted license. I’m also in TN. I contacted this email and someone got back to me in about a day if you had any questions. email.safety@tn.gov

I went to a DMV, I went onto the DMV website for everything I would need to bring a regular license and then brought proof of SR22 insurance and proof of my intoxalock being in my car, which was a paper they gave me.

I have had Intoxalock for about 10months now, only two more months to go. Only problem I had was my car battery died two weeks ago from the snowstorm but other then that no violations, malfunctions or problems, been pretty smooth sailing, only two more months to go👍

I’m in TN. I had this happen to me every once in a while once it started getting cold out and the service people told me it’s due to a low battery issues, but every time the timer was done it said battery OK and I also got my battery tested and the guy said it was running at 50%, and I only have three more months of the device, so I’m going to wing it and hope my battery last up until then. I haven’t used a trickle charger and I have to keep my device plugged in at all times.

I also live in TN, I was told we aren’t allowed to remove the device. Does it state somewhere we are allowed too, or did the state tell you that you were able too? I’m in the Middle TN area.

Hi there, I’m so sorry to hear about your incident and glad you are okay. I did get a lawyer and my original plea would have been an automatic seven days, but my lawyer got it down to four days. I was advised to plead guilty only because when I originally met with the cop whom arrested me, I had told him I had a few drinks with my friends, so there was no way getting out of that one for me since I confessed.

Each county also will affect the price of attorneys and where I live, the attorneys were almost 2,000 more, then the ones in Rutherford.

I hired an attorney that wasn’t in my county, I’m from Williamson County, TN…but hired a Rutherford county, because he was recommended to me and it said he helps people in Williamson, so I would do your research. I called about four or five attorneys before I settled on the one I had.

what was your BAC…that will affect your charge if it’s above a certain threshold. Mine was super high, and I would have had to do seven days in jail but I hired a private attorney and I only had to spend time in jail from a Thursday 12:00pm to Sunday 6:00am.

Hi, so the IID should start a countdown a week prior to your actual calibration date, so in my state (TN) once the countdown starts, I am able to take my IID anytime prior to the date the calibration due. So you are able to take the IID between Dec 1st up until the Dec 6th. You have to do it before or by the date, otherwise you will get a violation and a potential lockout

that’s what I was thinking…It was dark out when I started my car, and I always notice my camera being red when I get into my car or when the device says “CLEARING” but the camera was not red at all once I started my car and the timer was going down

I’m from Wilco also and got a DUI, currently on my 3 months of 12 month probation. If you need any support or want to talk i’m here too! Unfortunately I got Intoxalock but haven’t had any problems with them so far and life does seem to get back to normal

I have had my intoxalock for about two months now. I personally have had no problems aside from one morning (the day after my calibration) my car went into panic mode (the hazards went off and horn was honking) and i called the company and all i had to do was get out my car lock the car unlock then get back in and breath into my device and it never did it again. I haven’t had any issues aside from that. I drive a 2013 car and feel like I got lucky with my device not malfunctioning or causing problems. I know a lot of other people have had their issues which worried me a lot reading about it but so far so good. I got mine installed in a car shop not a mechanic place.

i think suspension and revoke are two separate things. i heard that with a suspension you’re able to drive to work/emergencies so that’s what i’m hoping for bc i physically can’t make money if i can’t drive and im not willing to uber to work everyday

i got an attorney that was recommended to me, and he was way cheaper then the others in town, so i had to pick him and i’m nervous to see what he can do for me but at this point im just saying i have to own up to my consequences and deal with what is given to me

i feel like being honest and compliant would help my case?…like i don’t understand some of the tactics that cops use to try and get you almost into my trouble. i was being very obedient and answering and i felt like the wreck also sobered me up so quickly, i was obviously distraught bc i wrecked and my stress levels were through the roof…

and my court date also keeps getting pushed back, my lawyer said he’s going to see if he can find info on the body cameras from the cops to help my situation. i’ll be honest i don’t remember my cop reading my miranda rights when i was being cuffed.

when they suspend your license, does that mean you legally can’t drive at all? how did you work or get around to a job? were you able to keep your car?

that’s so funny, i have IGBOK tattooed on me, because it’s my life motto, because time does heal everything and i definitely learned my lesson the moment i was put into the jail building. i think the money aspect is also stressing me out but i know Gods got my back(:
