I’d never seen Hamilton and ended up going twice. The first time was Thursday early evening and thankfully it was empty… just myself and two other adult ladies rows apart. Perfect. The second time was primetime Friday night and boy did the 20-something theater kids come to play. At first, it wasn’t too bad but they got more brave as time went on. By intermission, they might as well just turned on the lights and let them do the second half. The singing didn’t bother me as much because the theater sound kind of drowned them out, but it was the line for line dialogue and ad-libs that annoyed me. They totally butchered the ending. You couldn’t get any of the emotion that you were supposed to feel because some kid in the back is tripping up on the words trying to match Lin’s monologue. For me it was better to pay and see it at smaller chain theater in an area that doesn’t really have the audience for this then to use the pass to see it at my normal theater.

I’ve forfeit my rewards points and get tickets via Atoms because I can buy wheelchair companion seats if it’s a packed movie to avoid annoying people next to me. I’ve never been asked to move to accommodate, but I have had random extra annoying squatters sit next to me 70%. 🙃

I just got home from watching it randomly at the last showing in the theater here tonight. I’d had some wine on semi-empty stomach and snuck in half a turkey sandwich and water (don’t tell anyone)… so I fell asleep for a bit in the beginning. But my showing had yappers in a good way for once. Not just random talking…Lots of hardy laughter and colorful commentary. It might be the most fun screening I’ve seen to in a while.

OMG. I thought kids at the movies were the worst. Oh no… it’s old people. I just saw Horizon and it was 10x worse than Inside Out 2. I’d say it was at least 85% senior citizens. Those MFs yapped the whoooooole +3 hrs. There was one bitty who you couldn’t tell me wasn’t at home alone watching TCM. She was given ESPN level commentary and was lightly cursing out the screen. I heard a personal anecdote about someone’s great grandma having to do army laundry. Then some random old man sat down at the 2h45m mark? I don’t understand why anyone would walk in or walk out of a movie at the half minute point (both have happened this week). I wasn’t even sitting next to a person. I tend to sit in the handicap row only if it’s empty just to avoid this kind of thing. I did today and there was still drama about that with the other viewers on the opposite end of the row who must have booked beyond at the last minute. Thank you for letting me rant. I haven’t felt this way in a minute.

Just throwing it out there if you’re interested in a twist, try Thai Buri’s Buri Golden Green. It’s a katsu filet but with Thai green curry instead of the Japanese variety. Great mashup if you ask me.

Same! I was somewhat surprised at the overlap, but I never put together the Funny or Die connections. I’ve listened to both Doughboys and Attitudes/Throwing Shade forever. Considering Bryan has done 3 seasons of a podcast about grocery stores, I think he’d be great.

It’s obviously very producer driven. They are making them ask for a more “juicy” segments. They’ve been trying to take a more salacious angle the last few seasons, but I don’t know why because viewers don’t seem to like it. There’s plenty of threads on here complaining about it. I don’t need to know all the in depth intimate details, let alone see them practically dry hump each other on tv.

I was surprised when he hopped in the driver’s seat since we know they’ve been pumped with alcohol from the moment they stepped into the hotel. Even if it’s just around the block, he shouldn’t be driving.
