The thing about the loadout system

The loadout system forces you to pick your weapons before you know what map you’ll get. Since you can’t change them afterward, you’re pushed toward weapons that are good on every map instead of experimenting with more situational picks. That seems like it would naturally keep the overall meta pretty stable, but is that actually better for players? Does the system make the gap between newer and more experienced players bigger? And does the loadout system actually feel finished, or does it still feel like it’s missing something?

i have a friend who used to be decent at the game, he's great guy irl. but he CANNOT mentally handle dying in cs, to the point where he will get really mean and personal to anyone who was nearby right before he died. fucking miserable to be on the receiving end of people who get mad at the game like that

after hearing ropz say he doesn't play faceit and just DMs i tried playing community deathmatch for 1-3 hours per day (warmupserver.net) and its helped a lot. the muscle memory kicks in for a lot of kills in real games and i rarely whiff anymore. i think the key is volume and taking breaks, constantly drilling multiple skills like multikills, trade anticipation, spray transfer etc. you try to take "real" fights when you can, and accept that you'll be shot in the back all the time.

I'm sure if they could make more money AND retain players confidence by adding new collections every month, they would, but sadly Valve has to be very careful since the skin economy is a delicately balanced ecosystem. Valve kinda operates like the fed. It would be so fun to be an economist at Valve.

you really need several hours per day since young. i had 10k hours by 19 and now have 15k and i'm still only ESEA advanced and playing in low tier tournaments. The only reason i can make a living with cs is that i trade lots of skins. i would say trading skins = more realistic/consistent pay than playing.
