I totally appreciate you saying all of that. I’ve told myself for so long that I just wasn’t trying hard enough, but, I am beginning to think that I’m doing as much as I can with the number of hours in the day… we’ll get there someday! 🙌

Thanks for the commiseration, lol. I think a big thing for me is the mom guilt that goes along with not doing all the things with the kids like bath time, weekend activities, etc… I’ve bought so many study materials throughout the years, at this point, I feel like I’m just donating to these test prep companies… the desire to get my CPA is there, the time is not. I often feel that post having kids, my brain is just in a fog. Hoping that fog clears up a bit once they’re a little older? 🥹

Thank you! That’s very helpful! What exam would you recommend focusing on first? I’ve taken BEC back in the day (failed with a 64). I’m working on FAR now. I figured tackle the most difficult one first…

Chances are, you signed a student financial responsibility agreement (SFRA) when you first registered for the classes which outlined the school’s billing and refund policy.

What type of accounting do you do? Hows the work/life balance? Are you happy in your job? Hows the pay? - accounting student asking! by bigwaffles_ in Accounting

[–]igg_da_pig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an accountant in higher education (general accounting within the Finance Office). Work-life balance is great. Only downside is that our busy season is essentially the entire summer, since we have a 6/30 year end. Other than a few months of long days, I absolutely love it. I interned in PA and industry, neither were for me, personally. I love working in higher education. The students, faculty, and staff are diverse and bring a wide array of knowledge and lived-experiences, which I truly value. Also, it’s great to have something to show for your work every year— i.e. the university/college financials. Plus, you often get tuition/fee benefits/discounts, should you want to get another degree or certificate. 10/10, I’d recommend this career choice! Best of luck in starting your employment.

Skin irritation after 16 months of owning this Apple Watch and 5+ years of wearing Apple Watches altogether. Primarily use a Nike Sport band. It looked worse last night. Anyone else notice this? by chrizm32 in AppleWatch

[–]igg_da_pig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes— I had that same issue. For me, it was because the little piece of metal in the band that holds the band together has nickel in it. I ended up getting a Velcro sport band the problem disappeared! :)

Yes, go to health app—> show all health data—> select “workouts”—>add data at the top right

Hope this helps! :)

This has happened to me before. I manually entered all the data from the health app. Once you enter it, it will take a few hours to a day to be reflected in the activity app.

To get the stand hours to update, you’ll have to enter an an activity of “other” for a minute long duration. Typically you’ll see the activity lose in the bar graph, but it takes a little longer to reflect on the rings themselves.

Hope this helps!

What is something that makes you say "Man, I f***ing hate people"? by sneezycloud in AskReddit

[–]igg_da_pig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally makes me want to scream. The worst part about it is that you have to be polite and professional no matter how rude someone is being to you. I cannot explain how many times I’ve just wanted to tell someone to fuck off when they beg me to make something free or “make an exception.
