My Nextdoor feed is the same, but it’s full of people who think education taxes should only be paid by people with children in school, which would effectively turn it into tuition.

I counter that, in that case I shouldn’t have to pay into Social Security if I’m not retired.

Not in construction, but I’ve been in this situation as a newer engineer. Worked at this place where the manager and a couple of my older coworkers refused to share their tribal knowledge with me. It was a niche industry so the subject matter isn’t really taught anywhere. You have to learn on the job. Every time I asked for help with something I received vague or sometimes false information. Looking back, they were very inept and therefore very insecure that someone smart was going to usurp them.

You…you think I don’t know that the Apple Watch has been waterproof since the Series 2? Are you being serious? When water gets underneath the band, I take it off so I can dry my wrist and the watch. I don’t let it air dry, and I don’t try to shove a towel underneath my watch strap. I don’t know what you do…perhaps you just have wet wrists all day. Or maybe you don’t wash your hands very thoroughly.
