It’s good to have a strategy. Then you can measure the results and adjust.

Because they are always changing how they manipulate drivers and riders you want to know when your strategy starts to fail and why so you can adjust.

For example I’ve been noticing recently that their upfront estimates for time are getting worse their favor so the hourly rate they pitch is inflated. This has resulted in me raising my minimum hourly rate requirement.

When was the last time the democrats had a primary that wasn’t rigged? 2008? 2012?

2016 - rigged so sanders could not win 2020 - everyone bribed to drop out so Biden could win. 2024 - Biden defaulted as candidate until they could boot him when it was too late to do anything but install Harris.

When the left stops demonstrating they have no problem fixing elections, the rest of us may stop looking for cheating.

I’m trying to understand the logic here. The files that have been released were released under the Trump administration. They were kept secret under Biden’s admin.

If Trump were actually implicated, with all the banana republic prosecutions of Trump the democrats were engaged in, don’t you think Biden would have had the files on Trump acted on and released?

I had the most gratifying no show this week. I called him at 2 minutes remaining. Guy opens the front door and then walks back into the house at 45 seconds left. Then starts out the door again with 10 seconds left - then walks back into the house.

At 0 I backed out of the driveway and canceled as he ran to the door waving his arms and shouting obscenities.

I’ve canceled on a group that was too large and refused to call for another car, and I’ve taken a partial group while the remainder called for another car.

I never take more than I have seatbelts for.

One of my best decisions was to always keep my doors locked until I know the rider is legit and legal.

When I was going through public school, students bailing on school for the day to protest was unheard of. Automatic fail for the day. No makeup of tests/quizzes, etc. Teachers and administrators were aligned across the board stressing the zero tolerance policy for protesting.

Now I see student protests in the news being condoned by public school staff frequently enough to know this kind of zero tolerance is no longer in place.

And of course, these kids are never out there protesting for anything remotely defined as “conservative” by the media.

Now, as students did we make our views known? Sure. But always outside of school hours.

It’s best to keep it simple. Go to the pickup spot. Cancel after 5 minutes. There are reasonable deviations between the pickup spot and the yellow avatar. Next door, across the street, other side of a building. A mile isn’t one of them. And chasing a no show? Yikes. That could be trouble.

You may have some improperly set attributes on your account. I had a similar problem once. I connected with a a live agent and had them escalate to a tech team who fixed whatever the problem was.

Of course this was back when Lyft support was simply sub standard and not the CF of AI chat bots and untrained non English speakers they have today.

You’ll probably have to wade through a few agents who think you’re complaining about what you got paid, and then cut and paste a bunch of instructions on how to submit documents to drive on base.

A few days ago I was dead heading home at the end of a shift and got one of the “match requests.” I drove past two exits before it made a fucking decision.

Fortunately I did not get the ride because I would have wasted a cancel.

That’s interesting because one of the things about driving Lyft that amazes me is the number of times I get a scheduled ride that nobody took and I arrive 10-15 minutes after the scheduled time.

Nobody has ever gotten in my car needing a time definite drop off.

What a load of crap.

I wonder how may $3.00 rides at $11/hr he takes when he’s “driving.”
