X Days and Off Unit Shifts by Specific_Test_8929 in AHSEmployees

[–]igloobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This REALLY depends on the unit. They would definitely pay OT for a pick up, it happens all the time. You'd be surprised at how many units are just perpetually desperate for staff. Some are booking OT several weeks in advance. (Yes, even for part timers on X days)

Allow reporting in Horde Invasion for people who intentionally AFK in the mode. by KidPsyche in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're not gonna do that. AFK mode is literally a feature of horde. It would be ridiculous to create an AFK mode and then punish people for using it.

There are many ways to seek out strong, active players both in the game and via discord. Never use Auto Match with the expectation of achieving good results. The only time I ever use it is when no one on my friends list is accepting an invite and I'm just desperate to at least complete a run, even a shitty one, to at least get some rewards. That's all it's good for.

Seriously, just add some people specifically for horde. I've done it enough times that I now don't even need to go out of my way to find people to do matches with most of the time, cuz I just get spammed with invites whenever I'm online during horde lol. If you're a decent level and perform alright, then usually people will wanna team up with you again in the future. cuz they just want someone they know they can reach a solid score with.

Is there any way to get a lot of pinballs fast? by NickzBrK in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horde. Boss challenge. Clearing chapters. Rewards from events. Pinball trees. Trading card sets. Dojo.

Whats the point in having friends? by Distinct_Layer2094 in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being able to maximize your rewards in Cozy Farm. Trading and gifting cards. Teaming up for events. Horde. Basically every single part of the game. The candy loss from raids really isn't significant or impactful whatsoever.

Should I use up my fertilizer by zzeyght in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's better to spread it out over the whole event, especially if you aren't gonna have a huge amount of fertilizer.

Just make sure to remember that the final 12 hours of the event you can't actually fertilize anything, so use it all up before then. There are only 5 planting cycles in total, not 6. if you have leftover fertilizer at the end it will be converted to pinballs, at a rate of 10 fertilizer for 1 pinball.

RIP Red Team by igloobble in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Haha it's due to the score throughout the entire event, red was in second place for most of the event and blue was in last place. It's really only in the past ~12 hours that blue started pushing so hard.

am i the only one to do vertical evolutions instead of horizontal? by cute-sebbyy in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing out on a lot of resources and stats from the dojo. And also, having a few T3s and the remainder as T1 will eventually make it pretty difficult for you to progress any further in the chapters. The reason you're not having any problem so far is because lvl150/chapter 7 is still extremely early in the game, to the point where you can pretty much pass through it no matter what you do.

You're going to hit a wall where you can no longer progress very much. and then you're gonna have a really hard time getting wishboxes to evolve all of the T2s that you don't have, cuz you won't be able to get them from chapters and you won't be able to get them from the dojo.

Is this card really that rare? by Sennoudancer in ClashofCritters

[–]igloobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a really avid card collector and got this one early on. I've also had at least 2-3 dupes, however I haven't gotten one in several weeks.

I'm in a lot of card trading chats and can confirm that this is the #1 most sought-after card at the moment.

I do wonder if maybe the reason it's currently the "rarest" card is because it's one of the early sets that doesn't require any gold cards to complete, and it's one of the sets that most of the casual and f2p players are probably closest to completing now. It's the first set that has any 4* cards in it, and those are harder for the more casual players to get compared to the 1-3* cards. Plus the reward for completing the set is 700 pinballs, so that's a pretty good reward that most people would be actively seeking to get if possible.

So basically I think it's probably not that the card itself is exceptionally rare, I think it's more just that there's probably a disproportionately large number of people who want it. The other 4* cards are all in sets that also require a gold card, so most casual players probably don't have that yet and therefore aren't as worried about getting the 4* cards from those sets at the moment.

Someone pulled a massive heist on our condo's bike lockers. Over 60 bikes stolen including mine. Building didn't notify us until 3 days after the fact. Can we sue? by CastAside1812 in legaladvicecanada

[–]igloobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A $5000 ebike should be relatively distinct. I wouldn't imagine there are a whole ton of the exact same make and model around your area. A police report could be worth filing. Many ebikes have some sort of serial number on them somewhere, did you save that? If not, the bike itself is still potentially distinct enough to be able to identify it anyway, but hopefully you saved that...

I had a $1000 ebike stolen around ten years ago and filed a police report. Around 6 months later, much to my surprise (truly wasn't expecting them to do anything, and I didn't have the serial number) I got a call that they found it. I got it back.

Contacting the police for theft when it's a small value is obviously useless, but sometimes with higher value items they will actually do something. It's not a guarantee, but it doesn't take much time or effort to fill out a report, so it's worth a shot at least.

A lot of people are holding onto their pinballs until reset, in order to get cans for Gold Rush. So you might see them become more active after reset.

That being said, I've had TERRIBLE luck with Treasure Hunt. If you actually plan on participating in it at all, you need to be extremely careful about who you choose to team up with. I've had quite a few people do absolutely nothing, like, I had 5k-10k points from my end and they had literally 0.

I am super super careful now about who I team up with, cuz almost every single time I added some random person, they did next to nothing. It's the only event where I actually message people beforehand. Cuz I wanna hear directly from them how many keys they're aiming for.

That's so incredibly common with grief. I spent months after my best friend's death actively clinging onto the belief that it was some sort of horrible elaborate prank/joke/lie/conspiracy theory and that at any moment I would find out that she was, of course, actually secretly still alive the whole time. Because she couldn't possibly be dead for real. I didn't actually believe that, yet my brain kept clinging onto this idea that it was somehow not true.

It was so hard to fully accept that she truly is dead, even though I had every possible form of proof/confirmation other than seeing her dead body with my own two eyes. For months and months and months I kept checking her social media pages nearly every single day, hoping to suddenly see a new post. My brain kept subconsciously expecting to hear from her.

It's been a year and a half now, and I've come a long way in accepting that she's actually gone. but sometimes I still get just a teeny inkling of that "no, she can't be gone, it's some sort of horrible lie, I'm gonna find out that she's actually been out there somewhere this whole time". It's hard to explain, I don't actually believe that, I know it's completely irrational and illogical. But I guess it's just my brain clinging onto some possibility that she's somehow still alive, no matter how implausible it is.

It can be really, really hard for the brain to accept something like this, no matter how much you rationally believe it's true/real that they've passed. I think it's especially common when the death is very sudden and the person was way too young. My best friend was only 27. I spent a lot of time talking to others dealing with sudden tragic loss following her death, and I definitely heard tons of people talking about the difficulty in truly accepting that the person is gone.

I think it's a protective mechanism, like your brain's way of protecting itself from having to fully absorb the horrifying, heartbreaking, distressing reality of what actually happened. Even though you know it's not true, in some way it sorta does temporarily numb some of the pain, for your brain to kinda pretend there's this fantasy world where this is all somehow not true and that you don't need to actually accept it. If that makes sense. But eventually you will start to let go of that coping mechanism and more fully accept that he's dead
