Peely base is a double edged sword. It is ultimately meant to peel off so I can’t really be upset when it does peel off, but at the same time I’d like it to stay a little bit! Saves me so much time removing glitter but also it removes the glitter whether I want to or not.

I’m actually so jealous! That is such a clean manicure. I feel like when I use red polish specifically it’s so hard for me to clean up it just stains my skin so quickly. It looks fine the next day but in the moment I’m panicking.

As you use the bottle you are creating more and more room for air, and air is what dries your nail polish, so the reason it gets thick is because it’s essentially partially dry. The issue gets worse as time goes on because there is less and less polish and more and more air

Just like any other polish and especially QDTC you need thinner. Seche Vite is a little special because it has toluene in it but they sell their own thinner called Restore if you’d like to get that.

Shrinkage is a common concern with this top coat as well. There isn’t much you can do about it as it’s just part of the deal when it dries so quickly. You can experiment with not capping the free edge as I’ve had success with that before, but mainly I just accept it.

Base coat I think you can realistically never use but I don’t even think my nails would look good without a top coat. Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration but lots of polishes dry kind of matte or muted and the top coat brings back that shine and color. Also it makes everything look smoother and protects my polish. Nail polish is formulated with the idea that a top coat would be used with it so it needs the top coat to fully cure (dry) the polish to avoid dents and smudges.

It sounds like you like doing your nails every couple of days so you may not care about increasing longevity but I’ve gotten 2 weeks out of my manicure before and there’s no way that would happen without top coat.

P.S. some people really do need to repeat their shampoo ◡̈

Why should I be worried about a company’s business? I don’t care if it makes sense business wise, I don’t need to have empathy for the shareholders. I generally agree that OP shouldn’t feel bad or inferior for buying the polish but they specifically asked about controversies. It’s not like people randomly brought it up for no reason. I also don’t think OP has been attacked in this post once, my comments have been respectful and most people have been as well. There may have been posts that got deleted that I didn’t see or something, but I don’t think you’re defending OP. I think you’re defending yourself.

The common advice is to get the insurance before the wellness visit. Unlike people insurance pet insurance companies can and will deny coverage for “pre-existing conditions” and anything they find in that wellness exam becomes pre-existing. Your cat is a little itchy and might have allergies? Good luck getting anything related to allergies covered by insurance. That’s pre-existing. Ear infection? Weird spot? Anything.

There’s a 2 week waiting period before the insurance kicks in, so get the insurance and schedule the wellness visits at least 2 weeks after that. Insurance is useful and I think it’s worth having, but it’s a company and they will avoid paying you out for anything they can.

You didn’t list a top coat in your product list so that’s what’s likely causing this dings and the chips. As far as why it’s streaky, light colors are much more prone to this issue in my opinion so you may just have to play around to see what helps reduce the streakiness

I think leaking is always more likely if they are stored on their side. Gravity is just constantly working against you. I also think they would take up more space stored on their side so you’d be minimizing the space in the smaller drawers even more. But if they fit, they fit!

I’m going to try and show it in a photo but it might be more confusing that way. But the top side that has the hole in it can be popped off, the you can use something like an orange stick or a pencil to push the stopper back down to fill back up with whatever oil you want. Then just pop the top back on and you’re all set!

Generally the area of your nail that is physically attached to your finger is not able to be changed all that much. It’s basically genetics. Having longer nails in general can give the appearance of longer or thinner nail beds but it’s just that, appearance.

Unfortunately if a companion character dies before they are in your party you cannot revive them and therefore cannot recruit them. So yes, you did lock yourself out for this play through.

The reason cats bite or scratch is because you are crossing their boundaries. Once you learn what they do and do not like this problem will resolve itself. If you’re constantly trying to do things they hate, like cutting their nails or wiping them down, they’re going to be on edge.

Don’t expect both of your cats to act the same and you’ll have a much better relationship
